So Luke is a liar just like Obi Wan ;)

Especially since he flew an X-Wing for the first time better than Rey flew the Falcon for the first time and defeated the Emperor with less training than she had when she faced the Emperor.

Never mind that TROS opens with Rey in the tail end of *years* of training under Master Leia because there's a narrative that must be maintained at all costs. :lecture

But he had all that practice bullseying womp rats in his T-16 that prepared him. Being trained by Leia pales in comparison. :wink1:

Maybe in season 4 or 5 Mando will be in a very precarious situation and a trained Grogu will surprise rescue him.

There are a lot of unsubstantiated rumors flying around about the future of the show. Some are suggesting a big time jump ahead in season 3. And of course lots of Luke and Grogu rumors as well.

Where are the rumours from?

Luke didn?t defeat the Emperor. Palpatine was giving him bad touches until Vader dropped him down the trash chute.

I read or heard somewhere that he would be around but not till much later in the season in one of the shows.. It was not specified which one.

But that was another "rumor" nothing officially announced.

I felt the tone and result of the episode pretty matter of factly confirmed that Grogu is getting a break.

Oh, I don't know. They managed to fast forward the kid from a tyke who ran to his Dada to a mini Yoda channeling the Force (from lotus position) within a few episodes.

So by Season 3 end of Episode 1 expect Yoda I mean Grogu to be back, probably arriving in a transport hilariously piloted by Jar Jar Binks.

"Wars make not one great" Yoda I mean Grogu will burble at the the battling Mandalorians. "And in pickle jars on Exegol, your true enemy is."

When did Luke defeat the Emperor? I must have missed that scene. All I saw was Vader throwing his ass into a reactor shaft after he was barbequing Luke with lightning. Talk about a narrative :lol

Perhaps our inability to find common ground stems from your gross over exaggeration and manipulation of the events of the OT. A trilogy, that I’m sure you watched several dozen times, yet in your feeble attempt to defend the ST, somehow consistently forgot events. Which, I truly don’t understand why you choose to do this. Ah well, time to set the record straight again.

Do you know why Luke was able to fly an X-Wing to begin with? Because the story establishes he was ALREADY a good pilot in his T-16 Skyhopper where he would shoot womp rats that were around 2 meters. The story establishes these things. It is logical. How can Rey fly the Falcon when she never piloted anything more than a speeder? That is the equivalent of saying you can drive a car because you can ride a bike. How can Rey pull of maneuvers we never saw Han even attempt... HER FIRST TIME PILOTING? Wanna know why? Mary Rey Sue and pure incompetence. Wanna know how that could have been brushed away? A simple line of, I pi,ot scrapping ships all the time through the remains of Star Destroyers, I can pilot this! Simple explanation that is logical, but nooo.

As far as Luke defeating the Emperor... no idea what movie you were watching. He got fried by the Emperor and was no where near strong enough at that point to defeat him. Vader threw Palps down a reactor shaft thousands of feet and killed him.

You want to have these discussions, perhaps try being truthful with the film material.

"I've flown some ships but never left the planet." --Rey, The Force Awakens

"Ships." Not speeders. Ships.

And you're right she did perform several maneuvers that Han never did, like repeatedly crashing the Falcon into the *ground.* How many times did Luke's X-Wing fly through towers or scrape the surface of the Death Star? Not once.

When he refused to turn to the Dark Side and brought out the good in his father. In doing so he became a true Jedi and caused the destruction of the Emperor.

:exactly: :lecture :exactly:

Emperor arrogance viewed Luke being naive as a weakness when in reality it was his strength.

Yeah sure Luke was about to get hurt real bad but the emperor failed to see past his own arrogance that the punishment he was about to unleash on Luke to teach him a lesson on the power hierarchy was going to create an awakening on Vader which would continue to reverberate for decades later because a reborn emperor failed to learn his lesson that arrogance that comes from power over others gives you a false sense of being indestructible and will eventually lead to your downfall.

Amazing how some create their own narrative and just ignore what's on the screen.

It's as if KK is in their heads 24/7 driving them mad or something lol

Then again we're talking about people who are posting that AOTC Yoda > OT Yoda so you know what you are dealing with lol

I'll say it for the millionth time.

Hate the ST all you want perfectly fine they like everything else SW post 1980 are not perfect. Hell we learned how to love parts of the PT after years of hate.

Hate KK all you want hell she almost ruined Fett I know you were behind that you evil witch!

But the second you try to take down the ST with PT perfectionism you are done in my book. Get the heck out of my face with that nonsense.

Look at poor JAWS he's been trying to explain that for years now until he's blue in the face and the doomcockers brigade just ignore him lol

Give me a timestamp on that line.

Oh please. She hit the ground then does some amazing maneuver like it was nothing. B-b-b-but Luke never scraped the Death Star. Give me a break.

The whole point of the Emperor thing is that Luke was not strong enough to personally defeat him, but Mary Rey Sue was? No.

You would be an expert on that.

20 years later and it?s as if the PT is in their heads 24/7 driving them mad or something lol

Nobody is trying to do that. Amazing how some create their own narrative lol

Savage

NOT lol

There are plenty of things I enjoy about the PT.

Unfortunately the core Vader fall story is not one of them.

Everyone keeps talking about the ST reboot yet the only thing I see being rebooted right now is the PT Anakin Obi story.

But eventually just like with the PT the things that are wrong with the ST will also be addressed but there is a BIG difference.

The CORE narrative of the PT is broken, Anakin relationship with Obi and his fall. Massive fail started right in TPM.

What good are memorable cool design elements if the freaking core narrative is broken.

The core narrative of the ST is perfect needs no fixing only secondary and tertiary character arcs got shafted.
