[...] but with Mando I better be seeing a lot more Sulky Slouchy BoKatan and a lot less chatter about real estate. Or we gonna have a little problem.

I now wanna see a Bo show lol I kinda wanna see a whole episode about her. I felt a bit sad for her seeing her all alone in the throne room looking discontent. ( Ahhh I guess she's growing on me a lot since watching more of TCW and getting the HT figure 😅)

*sigh* ********* it's always somethin' ... *grumble* *grumble* ...

Just because it used to be a bar?

WUT!

Sorry but that’s just being disingenuous.

It was all clearly in the dialogue.

The pirate specifically said that Greef “paid them for murder and mayhem in that bar” and that it was their bosses money that built that bar.

Criminals go out of their way to FIND the most simple reasons to start a fight right.

Ego, money, power, revenge, jealousy, territory, rage, a freaking eye glance, it’s all fair game in the realm of crime!

People working overtime to hate this show for no reason sheesh Sass gonna be grumpy lol

Did you know in ANH they could’ve just flew their fighters straight down into a dive towards the exhaust port instead of flying down the trench!

Anything can be silly if you squint just a little.

Not yet IMO most of the grousing is the end result of a show so good, folks are crashing from the caffeinated sugar highs:monkey3. Not enough protein-packed blue milk to stabilize their thought processes.

You wait, Mando sending a few more heads rolling down a corridor and it'll be like :blissy:yess:

Nah Sass is a remarkably good-natured person.

Why thank you. Yes, yes, I am:wink1:. Erudite, sunny, love for my fellow man. Woman. People. Undecided.
At least until the unkillable Ahoska shows up and Filoni takes up an entire show with an advertisement for another show and lumbers through the script, when even my tolerant and joyous nature is pushed past bearing and my head explodes.:cuss:cuss:cuss

(Mando dominating an entire episode of BOBF is definitely not the same thing:monkey3; coz one way or the other the bros needed to get together for a fight - the universe demanded that awesomeness, and anyway we all needed to get past the twirly guy somehow:lol)

THIS GODFORSAKEN IMAGE makes me want to go all Yosemite Sam and not even in a joking way. I want to gouge my eyeballs out. Where is my eye-bleach?!!!! I wish to hear no more talk of the Vespa Gang when this triad of abominations roams the SW universe. YES! Next to these three Jar-Jar becomes more acceptable. What kind of s*** is this, whoever thought this up should be keelhauled. Where is my vomit emoji???!!!!!!!!!

In case you cannot tell, I dislike this poster in the extreme. What sadism is this?! Peace is a lie, there is only hellish pseudo-cuteness! I like PONG KRELL more than I like this poster. Chrisstbh, I formally censure you over this poster. There is a line and you have crossed it!

I'm just joking. I think.

Zero out of five stars do not recommend, do not proceed beyond this absolute war-crime of an image. Chrisstbh get your shebs to the Hague, you got some 'splainin' to do. .

Anyone want to tell him about the 1:1 figure they sell at Galaxy's Edge? It makes sounds and everything.

The funny part is she can't even be mad at Mando without being a real d*&^ 'coz he didn't even want the saber.

Ok, I was already in a tailspin over those three insectile RODENTS Chrisstbh posted, and -now- you remind me about the expectations of half the fanbase that Mando is going to go help Ahsoka fight Thrawn to get her baby Ezra back. I sincerely hope he does not do this. I would rather hear Greef Calrissian blat on about real estate. I think.... yes, I know I would rather see the Vespa Gang do a few girl-power fist-bumps! I just dont want to see this. At all. Ever.

Mando can go over to the Boba show because Mando is awesome. Boba can go to the Mando show because he is awesome. [Shush, dissenters. He still is.] Ahsoka cannot infect the Mando show because she lacks awesomeness. Ezra Bridger is the human equivalent of Babu Frik's family reunion.

Now with this image on the left, I have to say that is some primo word-smithing right there. This blurb at the top is worthy of Voltaire himself. Verbal karate. That's what this is. :sneaky:

Right: perhaps we need a Star Wars taxi show. It could not possibly be worse than five-year-old Leia outrunning three grown bounty hunters.

Well, to be fair - tho Ahsoka makes me ditch the blue milk for a bottle of something that would crinkle paint (and can't be opened around my pleather wearing Hot Toys) -
I did think Dawson physically was suitably impressive fighting. And even if her outfit up front top reminded me of my granny:monkey3, she actually pulled off light saber fighting in baggy pants.

With all due respect to Filoni, he needs to evaluate his actors and use their best skills. Not everyone can do the mysterious commanding gravity like - well, Yoda. Jean-Luc Picard. Elrond. Thulsa Doom. The Armorer. I'll throw in Mace Windu, because while I don't know if he comes off as mysterious so much as SLJ could make you feel like an idiot with just a look.:D

That is frightening and not just for the obvious. This and the pretty boy poster from Bad Batch a couple weeks back are signaling and unfortunate trend.
If these are examples of what the publicity folks are choosing to focus on to make and keep folks aware of these shows, then we can see that it's cute, sweet and cuddly all the way. And that gets a big "no thanks" from me.

Another funny and telling remark from my viewing partner was " almost felt like we were watching an infomercial for the Disney Park thing". Sure. Why not? Cute hand puppet creatures like this, alien "street performers" and soft looking "pirates" walking in Galleria's Edge, the funky IG-11 statue as a photo-op area, funny cuisinart kitchen prep droid outside a food wagon, clever narration from walking protocol droids....it all blunts the edge and keeps thing soft and family friendly.

Ugh.

That poster is just cringe in its purest form.

I'd like to see an anthology series about bounty hunters. And Bo Katan can have an episode. Bring back Dengar, Zuckuss, 4LOM, Greedo, etc, etc.

The PG13 situation is extremely limiting though. It takes potentially 75 percent of all pretty good standard trope style storylines off the table.

But I would like to see a grittier hard R version of a bounty hunter show.

The standard formula seems to be the "Spock The Babysitter" theme. Find someone struggling to understand what it means to be human, or Terran, or whatever. Then add in a kid. Like Grogu or Omega or whatever.

With all due respect to Filoni, he needs to evaluate his actors and use their best skills. ....

My best guess is Filoni is using "The Mummy" formula. Not the Tom Cruise one, but the Brendan Fraser one, the first film. It was a fun adventure and it's really a well made film. But aside from John Hannah, the cast isn't exactly brimming with acting firepower.

Brendan Fraser as Rick O'Connell
Rachel Weisz as Evelyn Carnahan
John Hannah as Jonathan Carnahan
Arnold Vosloo as Imhotep
Kevin J. O'Connor as Beni Gabor
Jonathan Hyde as Dr. Allen Chamberlain
Oded Fehr as Ardeth Bay
Erick Avari as Dr. Terence Bey
Corey Johnson as David Daniels
Patricia Velásquez as Anck-su-namun

Mandalorian is, IMHO, very plot driven. And when you distil that down some more, it's "quest" driven.

Pascal, just like Fraser, is really just a stand in for a JC Denton, a Jim Raynor, a Lone Wanderer, a Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell, etc, etc.

I will say this much though, Tim Olyphant has proven he can carry a show by himself, and also a show built as a pseudo western. He's someone I'd like to see more of to up the acting prowess on the show. Just my thoughts though.

My friend, is there a specific actor already in the Mando cast that you'd like to see more of?

Remember in the old days when people used to have sig-groups? I see possibilities....

Off topic and most likely a pipe dream, but a Hot Toys Rick O'Connell figure would be a day one purchase.

And back on topic; I too would like to see more of Cobb Vanth.

MANDALORIAN SEASON 3 EPISODE 2!

Don't click until you've watched it....tons of spoilery spoilers throughout.....

Well, it was better than last week. At least the second half of the ep was better. I thought the first half was just more of the same. Back to Tattooine......AGAIN. Too bad...no Boba or Fennec, but plenty of Peli!

Things picked up when Mando got captured and it was the first time we've ever seen Gizmo all on his own. It was cool! He gets to Bo Katan, and she shows up to save the day. I don't know her backstory from the cartoons, so this was the most interesting she's been so far. Definitely some sparks flying between her and Din. Maybe they will make Mando babies someday?

Can't believe we get to the Mines of Moria already in this second episode. I thought that was gonna be a season long quest. Oh well...good...get it out of the way. I hope the IG-11 plot has been dropped, too. That was really stupid.

Did Mando just....FALL in the water? Or was he grabbed and pulled? That wasn't clear to me.

I liked when Grogu spoke a little gibberish instead of the constant cooing. He should do that from now on. I hate the cooing.

Peli says R5 used to be part of the Rebellion. Is that a reference to that really old "Expanded Universe" book from the 90s, Tales from Mos Eisley, where R5 was a deep cover Rebellion agent and he blew his motivator on purpose so that Luke would take R2? I'm not aware of any other backstory for R5.

Episode ends with our first sighting of the Mythosaur. We all know that things getting ridden eventually, the same way the Rancor was.

My verdict....I didn't LOVE it, but it was OK. It's still a fun show. It's gonna need a shot in the arm to elevate it to the latter half of season two levels though.
