OK, I enjoyed that finale but while watching it am I the only one who thought: Mandalorian jetpacks only run out of fuel when it's convenient to the plot?
Everything in this show seems to rely on plot convenience... in fact, all modern Disney shows/movies rely on plot contrivances, because all use "and then" writing rather than logical cause and effect (Andor is a notable exception)

Yes I know but they don't normally contradict one that's used a few episodes later. But I suppose it may have been a resource issue for the Covert Mandalorians and now that they're united with Bo-Katan's group it's been resolved. Still, Axe's flight all the way up to the fleet's flagship seemed a bit much. :lol

Holy **** they actually showed Din being an effective badass again.
Did they though?

He was captured ...
Then saved by RoboGru, who he then let get captured and to fight for himself
Then losing the fight to Gideon, (* guy he'd once beat), but now needs to be saved by Bokat
Then both saved by Grogu!

This character has become completely useless. :lol

This was a Mando heavy episode so he certainly wasn’t sidelined as had been predicted so that will be a pleasant surprise for some.

But then
Mando RETIRES WUT! No Mythosaur riding, Darksaber was destroyed, no spies, no Grand Admiral involvement? Any complaints of the ST taking over are rubbish the ST didn’t play into this at all other than the praetorians being there. No Snoke or FN troopers creation at all this was all about Gideon cloning himself. Actually eliminating Gideon opens the door for GAT to enter!

But Mando retiring, wow that surprised me wow lol
.
I honestly expected more people to be happy about this episode. Mando & Grogu (and Axe, let's be honest) were the big heroes, it was non-stop action, and there was no forced agenda moment nor dreaded ST tie-in with the cloning. And to top it off The Armorer tells Mando to take his apprentice and get the f*%# out of there and go on adventures like they did in S1! And he's going to work off the books for the New Republic hunting down more remnant Imperial factions, setting him up nicely to eventually team up against Thrawn in the big movie. What's not to like? OK, I DID want the Mythosaur to rise up from the water after Grogu was approved as Mando's apprentice, but after all the ups and downs of this season we can't have everything lol.

John Wick got saved on multiple occassions and he was still a badass :dunno.

I enjoyed the action this episode.

I’m reminded that Favreau already confirmed Season 4 was written. Wonder where it’ll go.

This just in …. Episode 8 THE SEASON 3 FINALE!

Lizzo drops ‘the baby’

A returning Luke is enraged and goes all Annakin on Lizzo and Jack Black

Bo Katan looses the Dark Sabre in a poorly played dejarik game to Dark Krysan-whattiz name

Mando…well he joins Bobba as a 3rd tier bit character and they start a Bacta Resort in the Jundland wasteland, whose only customers are jawas, tuskin raiders, and other assortment of desert denizens

Holy crap I forgot about that.

Axe literally flew like NASA out of orbit in one tank lol

Oh and you were right about the spies thing!

:gah::gah: :gah:

Book of Boba Fett > Mando season 3

Edit: that’s in no way intended as a compliment to BOBF

Totally agree. As putrid as that train wreck was, I actually enjoyed it more than this. This was just.....there. It was so average. So..."mid" as the kids say these days. At least BOBF was a laugh riot hate-watch

I was absolutely thinking that the entire time.

Star Wars Theory summed it up best “the whole season was like playing a video game on the easiest difficulty possible”. The best two episodes of Mandalorian season 3 were literally in Book of Boba Fett.

Also Filloni cameoing as himself again, this time in his dumb hat, was a complete take me out of the scene distraction.

As a finally I might have more respect for Djarin, if he'd been like- you got what you came for, Mandalor is yours, the tribes are reunited.
Armorer: This is the way. What about you and the little one?
We need to find our own way, ...then cut to them going off alone, with his theme music.

Same result, simple different attitude. I guess I'm more of a fan of the lone gunslinginger, wandering ronin trope, I followed into this show. I get being part of something bigger as part of the adventure for an arc, yet by end either lead (which he is not) or make your own path (which he's not), he's just become this constant sycophant subservient character, in the end just comes off weak to me.

Star Wars Theory is a little cry baby, even worse when he has that little cretin Josh on his shoulder whispering in his ear.

He complained about bricks and screws in Andor, can’t take the guy seriously.

Well, other than the Grogu assist while escaping he systematically waded through MG's beskar troopers using only his wits and their own weapons against them, so yes pretty badass. And Gideon's suit was obviously enhanced robotically in addition to its being made of beskar (his speed and strength were much improved), so struggling to defeat him (or any "Big Bad") without access to his usual array of weaponry is hardly evidence to the contrary. And remember, the overriding theme of the season was Mandalorians are stronger together, so it made perfect sense that they would need to unite to defeat him.

p.s. - When Grogu was using the Force to assist him against the Praetorians I DID laugh and think I guess he couldn't be bothered to aid Paz Vizsla in a similar manner...
