Arguing is an utter waste of time and it clearly violates the "politics" rule so I'm just gonna drop it.

I'm not gonna post again unless it's about the TV show we're talking about.

I was genuinely trying to figure out what offended you. But I get why you wanna end the discussion. So will I.

Any idea or official statement on the age of The Mandalorian? When it comes to bounty hunting he seems very experienced and in his element. When confronted with creatures or non criminal species he has gotten beaten quite badly. I like to think he is young and still has much to learn. Its good to be excited about Star Wars again. Production on the show has been great in my opinion. The thing I most hope to see is more of the crimelords and scum and villainy. I like what little of the underworld we saw in AOTC and would like to see more of that in this series.

I luv he got beat - more like Die Hard - like when the Jawas shot him LOL:lol. None of this invincible hero cr*p that takes me right out of story. A badass with a code. None of this getting a tastefully placed scratch or not looking dirtied up at all, except for the most gentle dew of perspiration that looks more like a spritz of imported mineral water *cough Rey*.

I'd go with a 30s age range. Long enough to get experienced, young enough to do the stuff he does. Not completely hardened off. I hope to see more Outer Rim and yeah, the grittier side of things. One of the things I like is the time setting and it being (probably) a time of chaos:

?It?s like after the Roman Empire falls, or when you don?t have a centralized shogun in Japan* ? and, of course, the Old West, when there wasn?t any government in the areas that had not yet been settled,? showrunner Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Lion King) told Entertainment Weekly.

Combat is unpredictable. I did martial arts for years and a few lessons I took away from that:

1. Real fights are messy and unpredictable.

2. Styles make fights. That's what makes it interesting. Which is why I totally buy that a gang of hard-*** Jawas messed up our boy.

3. Heroes lose. I was a very mediocre amateur, but trained alongside world champions. When I was young they were godlike in their abilities and seemed invincible. I still remember how shocking it was to watch one of them get knocked out cold by an elbow. He went on to have an illustrious career, but he lost that fight decisively and mercilessly.

You may miscalculate, be overconfident, encounter something unexpected, experience bad luck or just plain meet your better. Fortunes of war -- something The Mandalorian demonstrates and the ST seems to have some trouble with in regards to Rey.

Luke was implausibly good at a few things in ANH, but at least he got toyed with and stomped in ESB.

Hmmm I don?t know about that Sass.

ANH/ESB were definitely the 2 movies where humans would get hurt like real people if they fell down or got hit.

With Mandalorian even though the main protagonist is challenged with obstacles I do see him having some of that modern superhero rubber body invincibility that many action movies suffer from today.

He's got a bit of that, and I'm sure the logic is that he's "wearing armour", but it's a minor sin in today's entertainment landscape.

I don't know that I'd say he has modern hero rubber body syndrome, I'd say he's more like a gritty 80's action hero. Rambo jumping off the cliff in First Blood, Dutch getting knocked 20 feet by the Predator's backhand, and so on. I'm just glad that he suffers from his nasty falls and being thrown through the air. I mean he couldn't even stand for that last rhino charge until the little one helped him out.

And yeah I'd put him at late 20's/early 30's and not much older. He did sprint after the Sandcrawler in full pads and helmet just like a linebacker so I don't picture him being any older than that.

Khev, I am almost 50 and could do that.

Also rock climb as a hobby!

I would say he ends up in his late 20 or early 30 because of his decisions and impulsiveness. He may be a good fighter be seems a bit naive and reckless.

If you can't see how much control she has in the main movies compared to this TV show where her presence is non-existent, then I don't know what to tell you.

Why? Because your personal perception of a female agenda? Dunno why I bother

Just lemme make sure I got it.

All bad SW is KK
All good SW is someone else.

And all woman belong at home washing underwear and cooking meals.

Got it.

Who was responsible for Rogue One? And Solo? Just wondering.

You sound like a total lame. Did you even think while you wrote that or has that just been your auto reply for two years since TLJ came out?:lol

Whoa I sense a small disturbance in the force in the last few posts. Anyhow, I just came here to say Baby Yoda ftw. ****er is the coolest thing to hit Hollywood since gizmo. He stole the show the minute he was introduced at the end of the first episode, the 2nd episode just sealed the deal. I liked the show without him, its very well done and respectful of what star wars is, it reminds me of rogue one but made by Clint Eastwood with a western twist to the OT setting but that green little cute **** is the end game. I hope he is the future yoda in any new star wars films down the line. I'd love to be apart of his journey starting as a youngling at age 50 lol. He ages slowly so it sets him up perfectly to come of age after the events of Rise of Skywalker.

Yeah the armor thing especially mandalorian armor helps me to forgive and enjoy.

Fair enough I can accept that, more Dutch less Joker getting hit by car and running away.

I don't think I ever want to see the little guy grow up, lol. Otherwise yeah I agree with everything you said.

Few more observations.

Disney + needs a memory saver like Netflix to bring you back to where you left off.

That blue alien in Episode 1 was straight out of Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Get that Star Trek crap out of SW!

Mandalorian repairing his armor and tending to his wounds reminded me of Jungle Hunter Predator doing the same, cool.

Seeing a Mandalorian run for the first time was pretty cool and made that scene fun and quite unique.

Witty and very sound reply....

That answers nothing of the reasons you have for thinking KK is somehow responsible for everything bad and nothing good.

Careful your bias is showing.

So was the little guy trying to heal Mando as he patched up his arm? I got an "E.T. ouch..." vibe when he was reaching for his wound. Has the Force ever been used to heal in any previous EU?

Not just that......

And OMG NEW FORCE POWERS! They ruined SW!!!

Yep good points. Totally agree on the Jungle Hunter repair scene. :rock

Did the first episode explain how those trackers work? Do they require a DNA sample or something? Otherwise it seems to make bounty hunting kind of easy if those things magically know where any given person in the galaxy is.
