All cultures do keep animals, but these would be hugely expensive to keep, even if the "expense" would be the amount of hunting needed to provide that amount of meat. And three of them! Agree that there is nothing more SW than huge intractable beasts, but yikes.
Too late I got Sass and Bravomite on my side…and maybe even JAWS.

IMO you are putting too much reality into a space fantasy with physics defying rocket packs, laser swords, and space wizards. If you can suspend belief with the latter, how much an alien species needs to eat and how they feed them shouldn't be an issue.

Nah, I can tolerate a certain amount of suspension of disbelief but at some point I'm like, that's enough. And in SW the suspension of disbelief needed is - a lot to begin with.

Its not an issue I care enough about to argue about, it just struck me as odd. As if I'd suddenly decided to keep three elephants in my backyard. Could I do that? Maybe... it would cost a fortune tho.

Grumpy old dudes taking this show way too seriously, remember the target audience essentially targeting families and kids. If you want dark/depressing tones, sophisticated script - all in for Andor.

As long as it is not stupidly insulting/disrespectful/forced diversity injection to the lore or legacy characters like BOBF/Obiwan. At this point I'm just looking for fun and entertaining story.

It is insultingly bad and stupid now though, awful lazy writing. I won’t encourage my young kids to watch this shallow sludge as I want them to think and question things and there are no answers here.

Yeah, for sure! And everyone involved with this show came to my house and pissed in my cereal this morning too, I'm with you man, what a terrible show this is now. I'm going to continue to watch it each week really angrily to show them how stupid it is.

The show had plenty of credit in the bank from the first 2 series', for me anyway. That credit is almost all gone now so I'm very close to bailing out, watching back early episodes of season 1 it's rather shocking to see how far this has fallen in S3, can it recover? Even the 501st clones looked horrible CGI awkward movement. whole season is lazy, poorly written and dining out on Grogu's supposed charms. Smart kids should not be watching this.

Everything has to be deep Socratic thinking about the Aristotelian Unities as the kiddos watch cartoons? Man. You are a harsh taskmaster.

But "... dining out on Grogu's supposed charms" is an A-tier insult and I'm gonna remember that one. LOL.

Wait don’t Mandalorians ride beasts?

Might as well have the kids raise one and learn how to ride.

What culture doesn’t keep animals?

Why are fans flipping out over things that actually make sense within the context of their culture.

Mandos + Beasts = Learn more about them, train them, control them. Be better prepared for when they attack! Use them as weapons!
Pet Blurg? Pretty cool.
Pet Rancor? Niiiiice.
Pet Mythosaur? Metal.

Pet nutsack with wings?

I’ve actually now bailed (after ep 3).

Uber fan of series 1 and 2; gave me the old school excitement and chills of the OT. But this is just bad.

Well, thank goodness my teacher from back in the day said I was a hopeless case. I suppose I'll have to continue watching now. 🙂
Seriously though, I love the show. Sure, not every episode is a hit, but most of them are, and that automatically makes it better than 90% of tv series out there. Sometimes it even makes me forget about the existence of that "other" SW movie trilogy.

I agree. Wonky physics in SW is normally not an issue with me as long as there are interesting and cool looking creatures to look at. Those pink turkeys however do NOT qualify

I still enjoy the show, but some things in this episode were hard to understand:

Mandalorians randomly shooting at the lake for target practice, wtf, let them shoot at rock formations at least.

The whole dragon thing: „it always gets away“, so why chase it with jetpacks. Why is the kid still alive and in its mouth? And why the baby dragons on the ship, why not show them at a later point and just state that the Creed has rescued/adopted them.

The Creed had such a bad *** introduction in season 1, now they seem to be a bunch of 2nd hand warriors with no experience or self control. Paz rushing the nest like a fool. Even if it’s his son, an experienced warrior should stay calm.

I like Grogu, but I wish they would have let him be with Luke for good or at least for 1-2 seasons, maybe some sidestory with him Ahsoka and Luke. He feels like kind of a burden storywise now, that whole fighting scene felt so forced
