"You met me at a very strange time in my life...."

cue Pixies song......end credits.....subliminal flash of where a big giant ***** used to be....

Neo is wearing the Mr Anderson clothes with sunglasses for some reason in the new poster. The coat and shirt are different from the new "the One" costume he had in the previous official poster.

It seems the outfits are a bit more casual and understated than in the OG trilogy. Neo is still wearing his monk/long coat and sunglasses, but the coat is open and he's got a simple shirt on now. And Trinity, a mate outfit with some hints of gloss as a nod to her old shiny costumes.

I think I prefer Neo's 99 and Reloaded costumes. I think Trinity got an upgrade in Resurrections, tbh.

Why is there a Matrix now anyway?

Didn't the machines and Man call a truce? Shouldn't the machine tech be part of the real world now?

I'm not even sure Neo and Trinity are in the Matrix.

As for the truce, the Architect asked the Oracle, "How long do you think this peace will last?" My guess, the peace didn't last forever. He kept his promise and released the people that wanted out, but this film takes place many years after Revolutions, so who knows what happened?

There was a tv spot that showed Neo and Trinity in their costumes telling someone, "We're going to remake your world" or something like that, which reminds me of the 99 ending, when Neo is on the phone and he tells the matrix that he's going to show people a world without boundaries and controls, a world where anything is possible. 😎

It was an uneasy truce that could collapse at any time. More to the point, why are Neo and Trinity alive again?

I saw a rumour (maybe wildly off-base) that this reduces the OT to a video game. Which wouldn't really bother me cos the whole saga questions reality.

Who's the guy at the bottom? A version of Smith?
From what I recall reading, yes.

I thought the deal was no man shall be plugged in. Isn't that how the machines survived? Guess you can always move some to a new, unknown server. Neo and Trinity both shown in the trailer to be alive in pods outside of the Matrix even though they died in the real world. If you think of computers, they say you cannot totally delete data that was written to a hard drive; maybe there was a fragment of themselves and the machines cloned or sustained their bodies to hook them back up. If Neo is a software engineer in the new Matrix, maybe he is helping them build a new one? We'll see. Hope the movie is more interesting than the trailer.

Well the co-writer says this isn't a sequel.

"I cannot tell you what this film is about, but I could explain what it is not."
"It's certainly not yet one more sequel, but something autonomous that contains however the three Matrix that preceded in a really ingenious way. It's a very beautiful and weird creation," Mitchell teased. "It also achieves a couple of things that we do not see in action films, meaning it subverts the rules of blockbusters."
