A few more details

Zion is no longer, with the remaining humans not living in constant fear of the machines. The machines now work with humans. The original Morpheus is no longer alive. Niobe has taken his place, now the leader of the surviving ( humans). Jada Pinkett Smith is still in the role and will be aged to look much older. Neo will be working to free a version of Trinity from the existing Matrix. She is named Tiffany and apparently lives a very “normal” life with her husband and kids within the program. Neil Patrick Harris plays The Analyst, a proxy for Helmut Bakaitis’s Architect who helped broker some of the peace between the humans and machines. It stands to reason he also has a firm grip on the eventualities of the computer programs.

I just wanna know if there's going to be an orgy and how they're going to top the one in Reloaded.

The plot revolves around the matrix requiring natural birth for sustained energy forcing all of humanity to get a sex change in a mad dash to end the matrix once and for all!

If you want more specific details.

The movie is pretty much a copy of the first film. So the Matrix itself has rebooted again for the 6th time, so everything seems normal. Both Neo and Trinity survived because the robots took theirs bodies, healed them up and gave them enchantments, and put them both back into the Matrix but wiped both their minds. Neo is a normal person within the Matrix but keeps having flashbacks about what happened in the previous 3 movies, they get so bad that he eventually has to go see a psychologist, played by Neil Patrick Harris. Neo Still has the power of the ONE the whole movie but he doesn't remember and NPH motivation is to prevent Neo from remembering.

Neil Patrick Harris knows everything that happened in the last 3 movies because the Merovingian escaped the resetting of the last Matrix by taking the train and gave NPH all the information for power within the new Matrix. NPH wants to have power over the Matrix and everything outside of the Matrix. So Neo leaves one of his meetings with NPH and see's Trinity at a random restaurant with a husband and a kid and pretty much starts having a mental break down cause of his PSD and he doesn't know if she is real or not. Neo is then approached by 2 people to recruit him to take the red pill or the blue pill again. 1 of the people that approaches him is the newer version of Morpheus and the other 1 is a woman. He eventually takes the red pill goes back to Zion and is told what happened in the past 3 movies by a way older version of Niobi (Jada Pinket Smith).

In order for Neo to truly unlock his power he has to go back into the Matrix find Trinity and get her to remember. So they all go back in, they have a bunch of fights with the new agents working for NPH to stop Neo. Neo and his team eventually find Trinity and tell her everything that unlocks her mind. Because of their interactions in the OT, Neo somehow transferred his power to her. Then we have a show down between Neo and Trinity vs Neil Patrick Harris, the good guys win, the movie explains now that both Neo and Trinity both have the power of the ONE. The movie cuts away with NEO and Trinity in the Matrix they both fly into the camera like how Neo flew into the camera at the ending of the first movie. Their were a lot more details and explanations in the video that was taken down by WB. [/spoilers]

Feels like The Force Awakens all over again.

If there's been 60 years of peace between the humans and the machines and it all gets derailed by Neo and his flashbacks, why not just unplug Neo and discard his body? Seems like Zion is happy how things are, Trinity is oblivious and Neo is the One who's going to ruin it all.

sounds like another convoluted mess...thanks for the info. I want this to be good, but that sounds busy. Like using Neo and Trinity is more of the problem than if they had an all new cast. Too many trips to the Neo well. Apparently the machines have mastered life after death cause trinity was pretty dead in the 3rd. A bit convenient to just say the machines fixed her, but I digress.

There's more to it probably, but I didn't see the video because it was taken down. The guy broke down the whole film from beginning to end. What I posted is a small summary.

I'm just happy the old heroes are front and center and still get to be heroes. :D I knew there was no way Keanu would let anyone retcon his character. :yess:

Mark Hamill should have done the same in the ST. You want me to do what? GTFO. I'm Luke Skywalker!!
The bag of cash makes opinions inferior.

According to Deadline, the trailer begins with Keanu Reeves' Neo talking to a therapist played by Neil Patrick Harris in a futuristic San Francisco. Much like in the first Matrix, Neo seems to have a sense of unease about the world surrounding him.

"Am I crazy?" Reeves asks. "We don't use that word in here," replies Harris.

Neo then encounters Carrie Anne Moss' Trinity in a coffee shop, though the pair don't recognize one another. It seems that neither has any memories of the events of the previous Matrix films. "Have we met?" Trinity asks.

Later on, a character that seems to be a younger version of Morpheus later tells Neo that it's "time to fly" while handing him a red pill. Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit scores some of the footage. The trailer culminates in some acrobatics and martial arts that fit the Matrix mold.
