The MILITARY OF STAR WARS - who first?

I thought Sideshow said we'd see Imperial troops in 07, so I think a Stormtrooper would be obivous. I voted Tarkin though, Cushing rocks. I guess they could always do a Dooku and Tarkin 2 pack

Well SS needs to show more OT love, so definitely my vote is for ANH Stormtrooper and Biker Scout, for the PT... CloneTroopers from EP II & III.

I always took the scum and villainy to mean the degenerates of the Star Wars universe considering the line was taken from Obi-Wan description of Mos Eisley. I just can't equate Boba Fett being in the same line as Grand Moff Tarkin.

I agree. When I think of scum and villainy I think of bounty hunters and criminals .

I do believe TARKIN will be part of the Military line. He would serve as a good Imperial representative from which all other Imperial Officers' uniforms could come in the Expansion Packs -- Death Star guards, etc.

After Tarkin, there's really only Piett and Veers that are worthwhile "Officers" of the Empire in significant movie roles, and the Military line, even if basically generic, needs some "leaders".

Personally, I'm most looking forward to Veers, AT-AT Drivers, and Snowtroopers. Nothing says "Military of Star Wars" better to me than that lot! Veers is my wishful thinking vote but realistically I see Tarkin or the rebel fleet trooper comming first.

ANH Stormtrooper would be my pick though any OT trooper,pilot or officer would be cool. I'm sick of the sight of Clone Troopers and my one fear for the Military line is that Sideshow do a Hasbro and release variant after variant to the point that "all new" figures are few and far between.

What the hell did Boba do besides tell Vader where Han was going?

Tarking blew up a whole friggin planet. If that's not villainy I don't know what is. But he should be part of the Military line since he seemed to be almost above Vader in the first film.

I have been eyeing a GG Tarkin bust, but have been holding out for a SS Tarkin. His face is so angular and distinctive, it should be an awesome likeness!!!!! So Tarkin has my vote.

I chose Tarkin because A) I think he'll be an awesome figure (tell me that skinny Sideshow body isn't made for Cushing!), and B) the armor issue.

I prefer face characters to soldiers anyway.

I'm not sure I'm right, but I think it was in a rebelscum interview with either Brock or Brant.

That's more or less what I was getting at, putting Tarkin above Fett. Tarkin is a stately military man, Boba Fett is bounty hunter scum. I just see S&V as being the riff raff of the Star Wars universe, a better example may be putting Tarkin in the same line as Ponda Baba.

On the other hand, where do we put Ackbar? Rebel Hero or Military? Personally I'd stick him in Military, alothough HOTR fits him much better than S&V fits Tarkin IMO.

But I suppose in the end it doesn't really matter, except maybe to the MIBers.

Tarkin and the other Imperial officers are definitely military.

As far as kicking off the line, I'd go for Tarkin or a Rebel Fleet Trooper over ANH Stormie, so that the armor issue doesn't hold up the line. Heck even a Death Star guard or an Endor Rebel Commando would be killer.

In order to get the Military Line off the ground in a big way it needs to be a Stormtrooper or Clone Trooper.

The clones they could do a Utapau, Cody, Gree, Bly, 501st, Shock, etc.
