I used to have a duck and I got mine about that age. It would follow me like that too. Even when it got older it would.

It lived till it was 9 years old. I had to give it to my aunt who had a farm because my neighbor complained about the duck going over to it's yard, as if it would hurt anything.

A fox killed it. :(
