i would love to start a great debate about how much battlefield bad company 2 kicks this games ass... however, i'm sure it would infuriate a lot of people, as well as my really close friend jose here....

The new issue of Game Informer seems to think this is the better multiplayer game.

It's just a matter of taste. I tried the demo for BC2 and hated it. I'm sure it's a great game for those that love it. I just didn't care for it as much as the COD games.

It's because you suck monkey balls at it.

Yeah i'm not getting too excited either mate as it's not 100% official! It's on numerous forums and blogs etc, it's just one of those internet rumours that spreads! But I think it's fair to say those are the maps we will be getting. There were videos of them posted around the interwebs a few days ago if i'm not mistaken!? As for the weapons, of course no one knows if that's true, same goes for the perks and emblems etc.

I'm thinking this is going to be around £15 due to the amount of maps alone. If it's true we're getting extra perks, guns etc, then I think £15 will be a solid guess.

I played the Battlefield demo. It's ok, I could see myself getting into it but not for long. Where COD Keeps you coming back, I don't think Battlefield would. I bought the PS Store Battlefield 1942 full game and I haven't played that in a while but I loved it at first. COD will take some beating, even with all it's problems online, and for me it won't be done by Battlefield!

yeah battlefield is good, but it doesnt stack up to MW2. The first thing I noticed when I played the BFII demo was the crappy sound. The guns sound horrible.

To each their own. I'm about to jump ship on MW2 soon and I'll be getting Bad Company 2 sometime next month on Gamefly. If I really like it I'll probably keep it. As of midnight on Monday I'll be too absorbed in GOW III to care about either of these games.

Personally I can't stand BC2. I played the demo and hated just about everything I saw, in particular the weapons. They look unrealistic and as Armored Foe mentioned, the sound is poor. Production value is important in a game, and MW2 has some of the best.

However, and this is a big however, I think the best team based shooter ever made, at least for PC, was Battlefield 2. I spent countless hours playing that game and I'm yet to see a game that can match the epic quality of some fights in that game. Just my opinion though.

My problem with MW2 and this is a big problem is so many folks having to CHEAT to be good at this game. Finding glitches and taking advantage of them in order to get their kill streaks. If you have to do that at all I'm sorry but you suck at the game. If you can pwn me doing it legit thats cool. Got no problems with that but when I have to plan for the folks playing legit and glitching that takes some of the fun out of it.

BC2 so far I've not seen any of that. Everytime I've been killed I've felt like it was legit and the person wasn't trying to pull some kind of crappy BS move. I admit I'm not as good at BC2 as I am at MW2 but thats ok cause at least I know that what I see is what I should see. As far as graphics and sounds on both games I think they're at worst equal with the graphics on BC2 I think being a bit better.

buy or rent this, and give it a chance. BC2 has perks, unlocks, badges, etc. everything that MW2 has, except for the (imo) crappy kill streaks.

and sound quality is amazing. but i do have a nice surround sound setup...

I tried the demo and was not impressed. The full game however is very good as bagelsncheesey say's. I don't die every minute, and I haven't noticed enemy players comming back for revenge kill's two seconds after I just killed them like you get in MW2. Also no air support or predator missiles every couple of minutes is a nice change.

Don't get me wrong I do like MW2 a lot, but some night's it can be my most hated game with it's total randomness. One night my Aug is killing everyone in site then the next night it seems to fire jelly beans that just alert enemy players to my presence.

you bring up a good point that i forgot to mention. the maps are so large and filled with buildings, trees, rocks, and other structures that it almost makes it impossible for people to come back for revenge kills right away. that's another thing i love bout this game.

As much as I disliked the demo for BC2, I'm going to rent the game tonight. If it's as good as everyone says it is, I'll buy it. I'm getting very frustrated with MW2 so I think another game is warranted.

I would have to force myself to get back into this. The draw that COD4 had just isn't there. This feels like a hollow shell, half attempt at a COD. I feel IW got too full of themselves with their god complex and in tern delivered a subpar produce inferior to the original in everyway. Gamers deserve better than the unbalanced, glitch infected, leaderboards rendered useless by cheaters, it's just a mess.

I don't get why we are getting Crash and Creek in the new map pack. I'm all for the older *better* COD4 maps. But why only 5 new maps? 3 new ones and 2 COD4 ones. I hated Creek too, Crash was good. But they should have chose a different one. Also with the new perks and killstreaks, it will just ruin the levels anyway.
