Almost done now....

Somehow I missed this! Looks fantastic man! Well done!

I moved my Lost bashes out of my Detolf today. It was way too crowded in there and I couldn't think of a way to 'sort' them onto different shelves. So I put up a long shelf up above my TV where they will live. :)

I should get Ben and Kate back from GDB sometime this week so I'll take some new pics once I finish them up.

I've been having a hard time finding a shirt I like for Jack though. I decided to try out an Aragorn shirt that I'll (hopefully be able to) dye blue.

It's the closest I could find to this one.

I figure I glue down the collar corners and maybe a few dollops of glue that will be painted to look like buttons and VOILA!

That's if it's dyeable. I have no clue what fabric it is. It looks a little shiny so I'm hoping it's not polyester.

I grabbed a plain blue t-shirt too as back up.

Got my stuff from TA. Turns out the 'back up' blue shirt I bought was actually black. :slap :dunno

And the Aragorn shirt is polyester or something so I doubt it'll take the dye. I shall try though! Still waiting on my Perseus body... :impatient:

Then I shall take the neck off Nek's Jack sculpt, send it off to GDB!

If the dye doesn't take beeshaw, you should just try using watered down acrylic paint. Works just as well if not better. Becomes just like a dye.

Maybe I'll skip the dye then? I tried the watered down acrylics before, but it didn't turn out. I don't think I mixed the paint completely so it settled in the fabric (if that makes sense). Is there a ratio I'm after?

Nah just really trial and error I'd say. I recently did it on my WWII Cap I'm building because the dye job on the leggings weren't the true red that I was hoping they'd be. They came out more pinkish red so I tried the watered down acrylic trick on top of the dye and it came out perfectly.

I would just start off with a small amount of paint, dip the brush in water, test in on scrap paper or whatever to see the consistency, then apply it. You really want it watered down so that the water and paint spread in the fabric almost. Almost like a water color paint consistency. Real liquidy if you know what I mean. You can always add more paint too vs. adding too much.

Turns out I did it wrong then. lol I did like I would dye it. Watered the paint down and threw it in a cup and soaked the shirt for a few minutes and let it dry. It didn't do much so I did it a few times, but like I said, the paint just settled in the folds of the shirt. I'll try this method though. Thanks!!! :)

I'll pm ray..just forgot about it sorry
:peace

No problem at all. Just curious. :1-1:

I just got a BBM from my wife. Apparently I got some 'doll parts' in the mail.... So either Ben and Kate's heads are waiting for me or I finally got my Perseus Body for Jack. Either way: :panic::panic::panic::panic:

Talk about a good mail day! I got all 3! :yess:

Here's my updated pics. The Detolf wasn't cutting it so I decided to give these guys a little more breathing room.

Here's my current line up:

And the Toy Anxiety Torch I weathered up a bit. :)

Kate is borrowing Sayid's shirt for now, and I still have to weather Ben and Desmond up.

Thanks for the stellar paint work on Ben and Kate GDB!

And I can't thank Nek enough for making Ben a reality. I put him together right after I did Locke and I've been waiting on a head sculpt ever since. So Anthony, thanks so much man! :1-1:

Thank you, man, for posting those pictures! They look great built up! :rock

Beautiful lineup bee!

If anyone here is looking for a mostly-complete 1/6 Ben drop me a PM. I'm not looking to get too much for him, maybe around $75 to cover what I've put into him. There are pics further back in this thread.

I'm pretty much done with 1/6 and I'm extremely done with this board. This is one of two threads I even bother with anymore. I'll probably drop by to check out the custom work occasionally but that's about it.

Best of luck fellow Losties!
