So, Eric Sosa has sculpted a Merry from LOTR and it caught my eye for obvious reasons. He's asked in the Pippin thread if there would be any interest, other than me, in a modified (I'm assuming) sculpt for Charlie.

Anyone???

Other wise I think I'll grab one (if the scale isn't too off) and get out my dremel and try my hand at re-sculpting the hair and adding some scruff for my own Charlie.

Charlie is my favorite character and I just got a slim body yesterday BUT - is this in the proper scale? Or is it Hobbit sized?

Right now it's in Hobbit scale. I'm not totally sure how small that is to a regular 1/6 head though or if it's close enough to work on a smaller body.

When I asked about it he just asked if there was any more interest in Charlie.

I did ask for pics next to a regular 1/6 head though.

I think the Hobbit-scale sculpt would work to be honest. Put it on a Slim or a short Buck and I think it would be perfect.... The difference in size is pretty negligible (from this pic)

Does anyone else have a Frodo or Samwise for scale comparison's sake?

I don't know, I saw some Polar Bears at the Baltimore Zoo and they looked like the happiest bears in the world.

I think they just got screwed, geographically speaking.

I had Frodo briefly and from what I remember the head was pretty small. Plus IMO the Lock head is kinda big. I don't know that they'd display well together.

But I do have a slim body so I guess i would give it a try. The sculpt looks great.

And thanks for posting your interest in the Pippin thread. Hopefully we'll get some confirmation on the actual size and the possibility of a 'bald' version at very least.

I'm here. Getting poorer by the week, now. I can't commit to another Charlie at the moment. I'm gearing up to send another payment to Sunohc for the mystery sculpt.

I must say Charlie would be tempting, but I'd like Hurley and Sayid before pulling the trigger on a Charlie custom.

Any timeline on this mystery sculpt? I'm looking forward to viewing, but at this point I'm ok with it taking awhile because I'm neck deep in custom projects.

That is awesome but what a tough bash! Clothes shouldn't be hard but what body? Maybe a "Jason Bourne" type Sayid....

And so far for Sayid I grabbed Royce pants and some random dark green tank top. I'm going to wait on the body, but odds are I'll go with an AA Advanced True Type. I don't think I'll be able to avoid joint on this one.

Looks solid! Very natural tones and I like the slight sun damage to the cheeks.
