I got this from a boardie, he said he never had any difficulties with the lights. They work fine now that I hit the sweet spot, but once I move it when I move, It's gonna be a pain the ass again. I will try a new adapter though.

I've had this same issue with compact disc players. Somehow, the wire inside the adapter cord gets damaged and I had to wiggle it around or bend it just the right way in order to complete the circuit to flow electricity. A new adapter should fix the issue. In any case, it is in the adapter or the plug in that the circuit is not being completed.

Just got this amazing piece finally!Barkley doesnt know what to make of it!

Looks like Stark's got a new recruit.

Agent Barkley awaiting his first orders. :rock

could be that, I won't even look to try a new adapter until I move. For now, he's not budging so I don't lose the connection. What I did to make it work was lay IM on a edge on his back, and just wiggle the base until I finally hit the sweet spot, then tightened him up. The scary part was doing it by myself, I was too impatient to wait for help.

Had to bring this thread back to life and join the Iron Man Holy Grail Collectors. Picked this up today from a fellow freakster at a great price and it is without doubt one the best statues i have ever seen (along with the Dr.Doom LSF) it is both emmense and awesome and cant wait to add a possible Mark 1 1:2 scae in the not too distant future

Heard the news that there are only 19 left...and then that's it for the LSF! So glad I picked this piece up when I did from a fellow bordie :yess: it is the centre piece for any collection :thud:

Chances are good they are ending this one cause they are making one from IM3. I would love to get that one to go with this one.

OK, I have to take a moment and say to those who started hounding me that this was an unlimited run and its crap and this and that

Here you go!!

It's a trap.

Their just trying to move them, they ain't shutting down production anytime soon. They can't drop the prices on them to sell, so they are playing the "selling out soon" card instead. They read the forums, they know collectors are screaming for edition sizes to be put on this line. So they will use it to their advantage. Theirs been a lot of talk and heat about ES for the LSF line for months now on SF and SSF boards. Now "all of a sudden" the LSF Ironman is coming to an end? Why not just announce an ES at this point including the remaining 19 and be done with it? The line is coming to an end after all, it's easy to accurately say how many were made and sold. Why hide it anymore? That's because they DO intend to keep making them.

Sort of like their recent 1:1 Atom bust which was "limited edition"...then "given" an edition size...then "sold out"...and is now on "back-order"

I don't believe it's coincidental. These days I really dont believe anything SS has to say anymore. I do believe in numbers though, because numbers don't lie.

I hear this time around its true. The fact that there are new armor on the horizon means that the run is over for the IM III. Its all pointing to some real cool new LSF.

1:1 Atom, was in fact a strange situation. This was the reason I let it go.

Only time will tell, but demand and supply point to a new direction :peace

it's an unmistakable change in direction for sideshow. In this case, the customers made it loud and clear they will not tolerate those ridiculous $2k prices for open es and average quality. The sales numbers have to be absolutely dismal for sideshow to make such drastic changes to their strategy.

It started with that death reaper skeleton lsf, it must have sold only a handful but sideshow was still hopeful and put a low es on it, it didnt help the sales.

Next with the darth maul lsf, they just gave up. Didnt even bother put a es on it anymore, just say 20 left and we shutting this down. Now the same has happened with the ironman lsf (although it's been around a while). They are unwinding.

Those lsf (with the exception of wolf predator and this ironman) have been pretty much a disaster for sideshow financially, i am betting some heads will roll for the genius who came up with this brilliant marketing plan of charging $2000 for open es statues that's painted no better than the average $350 pf versions, just bigger.

They must really thought their customers as total morons. But even sheep know when they are being served as food. For $350 most of us will continue to follow the herd, but at $2000 the tolerance level is much lower.

I bet you lsf will not be a big category after this, they will probably finish releasing the ones that were already announced/created to recoup some of the investments, but new $2000 lsf? :impatient:

Glad I picked this up last year and I still enjoy looking at it every day. I'm currently in the process of having a full 1:1 Iron Man Mark III statue made, though, so when it arrives I may be selling the SS maquette as it will suddenly seem less impressive standing next to an actual life-size IM. :)

same reason why SS have cancelled their back order for the Iron Man MK III BD 1:1 bust. Iron Man 3 is on its way guys! Get ready for new LSF's, busts, maquettes and LSB's!! :yess:

Yeah its only taken 5 years to sell out, plus there's still 19 of them left to go at 2K each. :rotfl
