Who in Australia got this? How much in custom fees did you pay? I had to call the shipping company to arrange a delivery date, and they told me I had to pay $500 in fees. I knew I'd have to pay something, but $500? Damn. Anyway, I will have this thing next week. It better be worth it and in perfect condition.

I paid $269 I think. The dollar was a bit higher in value then but not enough to make it a $500 import fee. Are you paying FEDEX? They are the ones who delivered mine. I'd double check what you are actually paying for and why, down to the last dollar because unless taxes have changed since February you are being charged double what I got slugged. They might have the value of the statue wrong or be making a mistake for it to be that much.

Nope, not Fed-Ex. It's a company called Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. I've never dealt with them before. The guy said he would call back after all of the customs paperwork is done, so I'll talk more with him about the cost. He did say that the fees were 10% of the actual cost of the item, so that's around $250AUD there, and he said there would be an extra cost of taxes and GST.

Got the custom fees sorted. Turned out I only had to pay $290, so that's not bad. Anyway, I got this guy today and holy crap. I was stunned. I knew it would be big, but you don't get an idea of the size until you have it in front of you. It arrived in perfect condition, apart from some of the grease marks. Just a little over-done, IMO, but that doesn't take anything away from the piece itself. I couldn't get it to light up because of the adapter, but I'll get that sorted out later. Now, onto some pics, but let me just say that pics do not do this piece justice at all. ____ing amazing piece!

Probably from the first batch of pieces that went out. Then SS figured out that was a bad idea. So they started putting the bases in a seprate box due to all the broken pieces showing up.

Definitely is. I might get the T-800 1:2 later down the line. Both would look amazing together.
