Alright, back from Disneyland. As I expected looking for Rocketeer anything was a bust. So my next Rocketeer fix will have to wait.

I was told not to buy anything for myself until after Christmas...that included new Blu-ray releases!

I hope that I get the Rocketeer Blu-ray for Christmas!

How does it look? I REALLY wish Disney had loaded some extra features on this. No reason why they couldn't have done a Director commentary with Joe Johnston.

In other news, I have an awesome Rocketeer print signed by Dave Stevens on the way to me. Super excited!

I'm also curious as to the sound and picture quality ? Not that I still wouldn't buy it if it's somewhat lacking. It's one of my favorite films as my Medicom Rocketeer is one of my favorite figures .

The Medicom Rocketeer is an awesome figure! Very simple but can do anything. A removable helmet would have been better, but he's great the way he is.

I agree ! Medicom's figures have a reputation for easy breakage due to porous plastic and overly tight joints but If mine suffered any breakage I would repurchase this again in a heartbeat.

I agree that Disney should have put some extras on the blu. It sucsk that they didn't.

ROCKETEER ADVENTURES Vol. 2 #1 Coming in March!

San Diego, CA (January 24, 2012) – The second all-new, all-fantastic Rocketeer Adventures series launches into stores in March! Each extra-long issue—boasting 25 pages of story and art— will feature covers by Darwyn Cooke and Dave Stevens. The first issue’s line-up includes Peter David, Marc Guggenheim, Sandy Plunkett, Stan Sakai, and Bill Sienkiewicz, with Arthur Adams supplying a pin-up.

“The Rocketeer takes us back to another time,” said series editor Scott Dunbier, “one stuffed to the brim with heroism and thrilling adventures. Some might call these stories old-fashioned—and what’s wrong with that?”

Other contributors to the series include Kyle Baker, J. Scott Campbell, Eric Canete, Paul Dini, Michael Golden, Dave Johnson, David Lapham, John Paul Leon, Bill Morrison, Louise Simonson, Walter Simonson, Chris Sprouse, Tom Taylor, Matt Wagner, Colin Wilson, and more. Rocketeer Adventures is in the current issue of Diamond Previews.

As with the first series, a portion of the profits from Rocketeer Adventures will be donated to the Hairy Cell Leukemia research. Dave Stevens, the creator of The Rocketeer, died of the disease in 2008 at the age of 52.

I was watching Captain America Last Avenger and half way through I thought wow i'm loving this, feels like Disney's Rocketeer- Then lo and behold I realized it was the same Director Joe Dante . I would die for a Disney/Joe Dante Rocketeer Sequel- which would be more of a reboot!

...but whoever they cast as Jenny would have a hard time following Jennifer Connelly, IMO.

I'd like to see an actual story-arc as well but I'll take what I can get with this comic!
