I don't think there is anyone that prefers the comic rocketpack to the movie version. Even though the comic version looks like a rocket. The movie version is so much better. I want to get a prop of it one day.

I bought the (I think?) Medicom helmet way back when for... I don't even know why. "Because it's the Rocketeer's helmet", I'm sure was my reasoning.

I never kitbashed one, so the helmet was just a little decoration, until my two and a half year old daughter snagged it, to join her army of toys.

When she messes with any "parent" thing, I get annoyed, but I let this slide. Because she walks around trying to fit the helmet onto all her toys. And when I ask who that is, I get "Rog-eh-eer".

She's going to be raised right.

I could never get into the Shadow for some reason, but I agree it would be an appropriate team up. Didn't they sort of team up the first time Cliff goes to New York?

yeah, IIRC Dark Horse comics did a Rocketeer comic where they met in NY.

Gotta pay in full for a pre-order, or do a sideshow-esque payment plan, and yes, the mondo exclusive is only on their site.

I ordered this yesterday, pretty pumped. Wish SS would revisit a comic version for a PF; I'm realizing I only like having 1 of a character, preferably a comic/"original" version, not a movie version, when possible.
