There were lots of cool pumpkins. Congrats not only to the winners, but to everyone brave enough to submit an entry. I'm a chicken sh**. I did submit a costume photo though. Or maybe a collection photo. I don't really know what they classified it as. I'm wearing a costume in front of some of my collection.

Thats a pretty cool Vampyre hat to all the runners up, there were some fantastic pumpkins in the contest.

Surprisingly enough I ended up as one of the runner ups so pretty excited about that, hat will look crazy cool at the work xmas party this year :chew

I received 3 of my freebies today. However, one of them had an interesting "bonus" (well, probably not, since it ended up costing me more in shipping, I'm sure). The Crown of the King of Elessar, which is a very tiny lightweight helm, and ships in a tiny box, had Sideshow Catalog v8 crunched up and shoved in the tiny shipping box. This catalog weighs at least 4 times the weight of the helm itself! It's funny seeing Star Trek and Simpons busts in the catalog, since those are long gone... Anybody else receive this? The only thing I can think of is that these shipping boxes were all ready to go from when this was a promotional item, so the packing part was already done.

I got a catalog 8 with my crown as well. I really enjoyed looking at it too.

I also received my last bit of InStock/Freebies in the mail today.. I guess for me that officially marks the end of Spooktacular for me, so I'll go out like I came in-with the pumpkin that SHOULD have won!!!!

I was charged $12 for something today. I have no idea what it is.

That $12 is a temporary charge on shipping, probably for a free item. I had the same thing on my card and called in to tell them they overcharged me and was told that is the temp charge they apply to your card before they calculate the actual shipping, they won't charge you $12, just the actual shipping cost which was for me $8.


And hey, I won the Final Word contest!!!


It's the original Leatherface figure which any horror fan would already have so I'll have two, but hey I finally won something this year!

My Dead King Crown is still in "shipping soon" status, card was charged $10 last week for it, then earlier this week the money was put back into my account. Also never got an email for the swirly eye rabbit as well.

Dusty, could I have won for best use of carving AND paint AND/OR use of White pumpkin?

I'll have to post a pic of it now. Its teeth are all yellowish because of the rotting where the carving took place.
