Someone posted on youtube, and I haven't checked it out, that on the official Hobbit webpage that there will be dwarf women in the Hobbit and they will have beards.

Some one on Torn said his friend was playing a female Dwarf,the scene's will be used in flashback/prologue style,pitch of salt of course

Look great 2 me. Seeing these guys come to life is amazing. I think one of the things I like is they don't all look like gimli. It's really going to add something to the next time I read the hobbit.

The more of the dwarves I see, the more I like the design choices. They worked really hard to give each one a personality, and they are going to look great as a group. Can't wait to see Thorin, and Bilbo and Gandalf standing with the crew.

What's with that giant braid Bombur's got though? Is it part of his hair or beard?

you would assume that tomorrow and the next day we would get more pics to complete the dwarves and perhaps one with Gandalf and Bilbo??

Out of the ones revealed, I like Bofur the best. He looks like a mischievous viking. Killer. Overall, I like the dwarves' appearances. Kili is a still a headscratcher, but it doesn't really bother me.

Out of the ones revealed, I like Bofur the best. He looks like a mischievous viking. Killer. Overall, I like the dwarves' appearances. Kili is a still a headscratcher, but it doesn't really bother me.

I also like Bofur the best so far--which is nice, because the actor seems to be my favorite of the dwarves based on the personality and humor he's shown in the interviews I've seen. I can totally imagine several of these dwarves standing out already.

Excellent design choices for each of the Dwarves. PJ has clearly made the decision to have their appearance mirror their personalities. Getting pumped about this by the day
