Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Oh man. I didn't know what to expect from that vid, only saw the link. All the dwarves look perfect and the bit with Saruman at the end completely threw me.

So excited for this.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Video was awesome. Sadly it looks like Peter is putting back on the pounds from that opening intro to the cut of the filming. Hopefully he can keep that under control.

Different Poses No names

Holy crap, that kicks!

Same poses except for Thorin. He looks better here.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Nope, I like the other one with the names. I like the way this one is laid out, but I don't care for the Thorin in it.

Little Pete's going to be disappointed since it is his definitive version.:nana:

Really?

I like this one 'cos Thorin looks more... "dwarvish" to me. :dunno

Also, although the action pose of his first pic was cool, this one fits with the others better. Makes for an epic group shot.

For people who want to see the blogs in 720p (at least #2 and #3), check out this link:

I now have all three saved to my PC :D.

Watching the third one, especially that last shot, gave me goose bumps like I haven't felt in almost ten years!

Oh, and I think I agree about the new Dwarf group shot. I think Thorin looks much more Dwarvish to me in that shot, more the way he looked in the live action shots from the blog.

It's a GOOD thing. It really makes him more Hobbit-like... :lol

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Ummm... No. It's not a good thing. Not on any level.

Agreed. He's really putting those pounds back on and nothing good will come from that. Healthy eating [not that it looks like he's eating healthy] is not enough to keep the weight down and be fit. That can't be done without incorporating an exercise program, and unfortunately it doesn't look like PJ has much time for exercise....even if he did, quite frankly he already looks completely exhausted and I fear he's going to look alot worse 200 days from now when filming comes to an end.

Didn't PJ have gastric bypass surgery?

It's been rumoured, but it could simply be that he's a nervous eater and when he's working on a big project, he eats. I'm just the opposite.

And some people can gain and lose weight quickly.

And even if he did have the by-pass, you can still gain weight back if you're not careful.

I think you've hit the nail on the head with your first thought, Ween. Unfortunately, I am pretty sure that in his case, he isn't the type of person who can lose weight easily. I only say that because I remember what a big deal it was to him when he lost all that weight a few years back.

I just hope he gets it under control. Like most fans, I really want to see these movies get made, but not if it ruins his life. I was noticing, as I rewatched the 3rd blog, how you can really tell which shots were from the start of the block, versus which were from the end. It looks like he put on almost 50 pounds during the block. And they still have two more to go?

Yeah, that was pretty startling actually.

Speaking of weight gain... Bomber (and the guy who plays him) makes me LMAO in that video. :rotfl
