Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Taking up council discussing what to do about Dol Guldor and Sauron..I think...Either that or one very serious high stakes card game..LOL

It is nice...Saruman looks like he's ready to Roll with someone

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

There are a lot of great posters coming out for this right now. :rock

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I have the 11x17 of the first two teaser posters. That's it. I really don't collect posters. I might download digital Images of all the hobbit posters like I did with lotr.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yeah, it's nice to have them to go back and look at things years after the movies come out. It's something I enjoy anyways.

White Council poster:

I love how clean and bright Saruman's robes look compared to the more dirty white colour they have in Lord of the Rings.

Well, at this point in history Saruman was still mostly a good guy so more white in his robes makes sense.

Yeah i know, that is what i was getting at in that i liked the change and what it represents from a character perspective.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Looks like Saruman hasn't aged a day, Gandalf too.

As December gets closer and closer I'm getting more pumped. I've been getting really nostalgic for Lord of the Rings lately and was going through the one ring scrapbook from 2000 - 2003. Lots of memories in there.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

If anyone hears about promos for the midnight showings, please post them. I'm hoping for at least a t-shirt. I know we get special 3D glasses.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I've never been to a premier midnight showing before and never cared for it...but for this film I might very well make an exception

I dunno... Elrond looks the same (I'm sure Hugo has aged quite a bit since then) and Saruman looks less wrinkly. Gandalf? Yah, he looks the same! Beats looking older than in FotR (as is the case with Ian Holme Bilbo).

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread
