Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yeah, I completely agree about the end battle through last scene with Frodo, and Thorin. Much too early.

I loved that part and glad they made the change of him accepting bilbo into the company. If we sat through 3 movies with Thorin acting like a **** and disliking him, no one is gonna care when
Thorin dies at the battle
Besides he will be back to a grump when they go for a barrel cruise...:D

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I thought the Eagle scenes looked amazing. It was good to see the Witch king but part of me wanted to see the Ringwraiths show up in some form.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I haven't read the book and have just read a spoiler on the previous page. I do wish people would use spoiler tags. Sigh.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

But I've seen the first part of the movie and this is discussing the first part. Plus the admin have provided spoiler tags.

This is a movie thread and it's hard enough having spoilers for other things. Once the weekend is over, this thread is going to be wide open. Since the book is so old, I doubt they'll want too put in book spoilers.

Yeah I think I'll be giving it a miss from here on out.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Haven't been following this thread as I haven't seen the movie yet (though I've read the book many a time) so I don't know if anyone shared these.

These four lithos were a giveaway for the midnight showings. My younger brother works as a manager for a pretty big AMC and snagged a set for me. I'm getting old, I can't do midnight showings anymore. :lol

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Just got out of my 48fps showing. The movie I think is better the second time. I might even bump up my 9 to 9.25 equal to TTT. Just so much goodness in there. :) Tom will be pleased that I actually liked the 48 fps. It was crystal clear and I had no issues with how the movie looked. A couple of quick moments from old Bilbo but it was fun after that. I will see the other two like this once a piece.
