Yeah thought that aspect was pretty damn cool. I really did like this show. The coldness from the Anna character is bad ass.

^^ Yes and I still think she's HOTT!!!
However, I really didn't like how they killed Alan Tudyk so quickly.
I think they should've kept in it by having him escape and use the FBI against Erica by claiming that she is the mole that has been providing info to the "terrorist" cells. This would mean that the rebels would have to remain hidden from the Five-Os as well as the Visitors.

I don't think he's dead. They showed him in a preview for the next episode.

Which I thought was a stupid move. Why show him as being alive in a preview?? That would've been a better shocker within the show. Oh well, both my girl and I were screaming "Double-Tap!!" when she supposedly killed him.

Saw this last night. I enjoyed it but it felt a bit rushed, I felt like I was watching a summary of a few episodes instead of just one. I'm willing to give it another go and I was a bit bummed to see Alan get wacked, even though I know he is back, I would have preferred him to be a sleeper a bit longer....

Gotcha. The download I have doesn't have next week's preview included on it....Darn, wish I didn't just read above because I would've had an awesome surprise.

Crap...
I missed it last night...
Hulu to the rescue...

On a side note....spoiler for Kuzeh only!

Michael Jackson was not in this show. Nor were any Michael Jacksons harmed in making this show.

Seriously though, watch it! You will love it!

Admittedly , the kid doesn't have much acting skill. That's the "predictable" part I was referring to earlier. You could pretty much see what side he was going to take as soon as he heard/saw the space ship. His reaction to the hot blond alien girl was also pretty high on the cheese scale. The more I think about last nights show, the more I miss the original series. This didn't live up to it's predecessor.

Oh yeah, thought I'd just mention that Hannity showed certain clips/sound bytes ("spreading hope" "welcome change" "universal healthcare" "media bias") of this "V" show on his show tonight, pretty much saying the same thing that I pointed out last night. I wonder where ABC takes it from here.

No need to get upset, some of you more sensitive sorts, I'm just stating relevant information related to this show. People I work with picked up on it big time too.

Ok, I've been thinking about this. If you want to attract a new audience you can't assume that every teen has seen the original. Rather than rushing, they could have just built up a little slower to a better screen discovery of the humans discovering/confirming that the Visitors were indeed reptilian.

I'd be more worried about the pre-teens than the teens. Anyone over 13 would probably have guessed by the time the visitors started spouting off about 'peace'. However, I know that my niece (who is 9) was utterly rapt from 8 o'clock on, didn't get lost, and can't wait for next week. This is a kid who regularly watches NCIS and Ghost Whisperer, so it's not like her attention span is limited to a Disney/Nickelodeon range.

I wish it had been longer too, but in looking to explain why it was so abrupt, I'm assuming that they have taken the original granted to a degree. And I don't think that's a major problem. I also don't think the length of the introduction is a major problem. They have cut to the chase and I'm betting that the rest will follow the more fast paced formula that most television drama abides by now.

The coldness from the Anna character is bad ass.

Oh yeah. She's scary as hell.

^^^Firefly, Serenity, Stargate SG-1, and a couple other shows. She looks much better with longer hair IMO, but she's hot no matter what. (Brazilian too)

The original V was a masterpiece, and this felt like a TV Show. A TV Show that is trying to be BSG. (OMG - They could be *ANYONE*! ZOMG!)

I'm going to try real hard to not make comparisons when watching the new one, but it's going to be difficult. I mean, when I think "V", I hear Abraham Bernstein yelling "V for victory!" in my head. This show is just throwing around V like it's a catchphrase.

"The V's"?!? :banghead:duh:banghead

I agree.. plus I kept wanting their voices to be different. It was rushed.. and I didn't like how they set up any of the... why are people now taking rides.. they "V"s offering to help police. They went from showing up to an established part of society. I realize the cells play a part in it, but it seemed off... I also don't like how they combat and not sure about the floating droid thing.

I got a feeling this won't make it.

I come from watching the original when I was a kid and I expected a lot. They had a lot to tell in the first episode knowing that many people would know the background of the show. I felt they did it well. I had invested into certain charaters and was hooked into seeing it next week which is the whole point.
