It's funny, people wonder why all these actors have huge egos. All you have to do is watch this show and totally understand why. :monkey1:monkey1:monkey1:monkey1

if clooney wins over the rest of his competition then something is seriously F'D up. the guy isnt an actor he's a talker. he is the exact same character in every movie he is in. just acts like rico suave without any emotion or other acting talent and everyone loves him.

Can't say I've cared much for the Oscars since the year LOTR won so many awards. It's just that nothing has really interested me much.

I hate the political statements that I guess Hollywood feels is a requirement as part of the show. It's only been on for ~30 minutes here, but Jon Stewart already made a joke about the war, which was fine. But wait till you get someone like Sean Penn accepting an award. I say, keep your party lines to yourself in a public forum like the Oscars.

that is true, BUT, Jon Stewart made fun of each side, normally, the idiotic liberal actors won't.

Funny, the Rock, while presenting award for visual effects, just said something like "... a certain 8-year old boy who suffered from nightmares who thought the face melting scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark was very real..."

I think I just made a similar comment in an Indy thread a few days ago. :lol

Wait, wait. I just checked the Oscars Yahoo page and it looks like it's got some winners up---Did Golden Compass really win Visual Effects?

If so, I will never, ever, ever watch the Oscars--never did before, never will.

Yeah it did. I was surprised myself. I thought "Transformers" was the better nominee to win.
