Re: Predator Reboot...

I'd like to see the next movie with a group of soldiers who are working for the US government (let's say CIA) to track down a extraterritorial creature (Predator) and while doing so they get picked off one by one. I think that would be a pretty cool concept for a movie. :dunno

Re: Predator Reboot...

Predator : Jungle

Predator 2 : Urban

Predator 3 (?) : Desert

I would love to see it set during a Desert conflict. Having a cloaked predator suddenly appear in the middle of a heat shimmer would rock.

I could totally sit down for that, we'll just have to wait and see. Anyways, anyone get an idea when this might be released?

Re: Predator Reboot...

I've been hoping for a desert Predator film. It's hot and the most modern setting for war I think that's where a Predator would go. I thought it would look cool to not see him then with a little sand blowing the silhouette appears and flashes the yellow bio mask eyes letting you know they know you saw them. I hope the stay in the realm of design between P1&P2 and give us some new armor and weapons. I'm actually excited for this.

Mind = blown.

What are you thinking?

I'm thinking Afganistan, or someplace in the middle east that's the heart of the conflict right now, maybe Africa, it could be non-specific like the 1st predator.

Re: Predator Reboot...

i know for avpr someone said that they had a script of sending the preds and the alien to the war in the middle east.

I would have loved that.

Re: Predator Reboot...

yep..........................................:slap

I think Shane Salerno (the writer of avpr) first came with the middle east war plot for the movie but fox turned it down,

so he had to write what we have now with imput from The Brothers Strause :lol.... man those guys are pathetic losers :rotfl

Re: Predator Reboot...

Was this posted?

“As far as Fred and I are concerned anyway, why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?” Black said he doesn’t like reboots generally, but can “really get behind inventive sequels”, noting that he likes “the idea of expanding and exploring the existing Predator mythology, rather than hitting the restart button. He went on to say that Dekker, who’s writing the screenplay, is “perfect” for the project, adding the two had a blast writing the screenplay for The Monster Squad together.”

Re: Predator Reboot...

A:R is the worst of the lot (IMO).

I have a very particular opinion about A:R, I'm aware I stand alone probably, but I think it's better than A3, I like the visuals the score, the story, the cheesy dialogue and the cartoony characters, I like the overall French tone :lol

I thought the first was awful but then again I don't enjoy Ws Anderson's work.

He means Resurrection.

But I do think the 1st AVP is less crap than AVPR

Re: Predator Reboot...

I honestly don't know how a company can have a franchise (2 franchises actually) And completely run them to the ground and destroy them. It's like some kind of record.

How can someone have such bad taste? to approve stuff like this? how is that possible? I know sequels tend to get worse but this is like to the extreme

I agree, the games did a much better job, the 1st two AVP games at least.

By separate each franchise stands a bit better at least :lol

Re: Predator Reboot...

the comics were good too. it gives me a headache trying to imagine what kind of thought process goes in the mind of a Fox executive.
These people are in charge of these movies but their janitor probably could come up with a better idea for these movies.......

I swear :explode:
