dutch in the movie is a person that lived on so it makes sense to want to see what hes doing. Look at rambo. he lived on past the third and we got to see what happened to him.

In that case the Predator movie franchise should have been called Dutch like Rambo is called Rambo.

it could be a small cameo... thats why I posted the Glengarry Glen Ross clip earlier, thats all you need. just a 10 minute clip of him briefing the new people or something like that.
you dont need to drag him into the movie, but seeing him passing on some information could be cool.

Specially if he passes this information down to the new team and they realize the predator is MORE advanced now and the Mud stuff does nothing lol
maybe the teachings of Dutch dont work because the pred is just that much more advanced

But I do agree, I don't mind him making a small cameo, but I'd hate this to become another vanity project full of one liners and terrible comedy which seems to come hand in hand with Arnie these days unfortunately.

He's not a big legend that would really shine more in mystery, he survived one movie, nothing wrong with having and cameo of old dutch as long as it's just that, a cameo, not what they wanted to do in predators.

Bleh, there's nothing to taint, nothing to screw up, just having him show up, tell his story to the new guy, and that's it.

Predators tried linking it's characters to the title of the movie - it didn't work.

The Predator in the movie needs to be only reason the movie uses Predator in it's title.

The moment they bring Dutch back the project becomes another homage to the first movie and shows that they don't trust themselves to deliver a unique solid story/movie that can stand by itself.

thats what Expendables was going to be at some point. They were going to have the Expendables team go against the predator but that was never finished

In a way, they still fought the Predator

I should love those Expendables films, but I don't. Stallone looks all plastic and rubbery, and the rest of the team sucks, imo.
