Same with all those RomComs. "Fool's Gold", "How to lose a guy in 10 days", "Failure to Launch", all acclaimed movies that dealt with the pressing issues of society. It definitely had nothing to do with the money... Magic Mike was all about the art though...twas a pretty good drama though, definitely better than his RomComs...

The only way it would make ANY sense would be if the predators recruited him as a rescue specialist like the Wolf. Though the Wolf was more of a clean up when **** hit the fan but like I said it is the only stretch that would make sense for Dutch being with Predators.

Yeah, Dutch should not be with any of the Predators. That's going to be lame later on down the line.
Dutch ended on a good note in the first movie, leave it at that.

What would make sense is that Dutch became obsessed with killing the Yautja and began to seek them out in the various jungles on Earth until he finally earned a reputation and the Yautja come down and kidnap him, keeping him alive out of respect but also to keep him out of the game. Then you have BDT find him in a Yautja ship inside a cage.

They killed his men. All of his men. And Dillon. He wouldn't just go home afterwards and smoke cigars on his front porch for 50 years.

Predators tried linking it's characters to the title of the movie - it didn't work.

The Predator in the movie needs to be only reason the movie uses Predator in it's title.

The moment they bring Dutch back the project becomes another homage to the first movie and shows that they don't trust themselves to deliver a unique solid story/movie that can stand by itself.

dutch in the movie is a person that lived on so it makes sense to want to see what hes doing. Look at rambo. he lived on past the third and we got to see what happened to him

wanting to know what happened to them is not bad. its human curiosity. we want to see where the hero is now.

the problem is when they do it in a far fetched or silly way. when the come back is unrealistic or cheesy. dutch could be with the goverment working or could be living alone. i could see both things happening. he could be with the gov to keep a close eye or to make a good living, hes traumatized from the predator encounter but he might want to be close to the gov to keep tabs because hes obsessed
OR hes so traumatized and burned out that he has a similar life to the movie the Wrestler, just going by, crappy job, keeping to himself.
I think both paths could have been taken.

in this universe where part 2 doesnt exist, hes the only one to have survived a pred, it makes sense for people to want to know his knowledge.

it would also make sense to bring back Anna. she also saw the creature, it would be cool if they brought both of them back. shes still acting.
it is a shame they didnt think of her

thats why what ever happens to dutch is open to interpretation. leave it be and move on.
you want a dutch movie, in the city, the suburbs, the resthome....but dont ever call it nor tag it with predator.

there's a reason why the movie title is predator not dutch.
