Still looks freakin amazing. That vest is just killer. I'm heading out tonight to get some stuff to scratch build a new vest. I think I can now make one that's 100% accurate. I got a pile of screen captures & noticed the back has 1-3-1 strap pattern as well. In addition there is a band across the shoulders with a loop. Knowing this all just means I have to do it.

How close is the bust as far as the straps extending all the way around the sides? I can't find a shot that really shows this area off. I thought they stop where they meet the intersecting vertical bands? Any ideas?

Why the hell can't I walk away from this build. I'm gonna end up with enough stuff for 2 Rays!!!!

Looks like 1 space 3 space 1 on the back. I also plan to metal core a couple of pieces to make the clips that hold his MP5K's.

I swear, if the make another film it better have the same outfit.

Or else.

Anyway, just did another layer on the Amnur piece & also picked up the stuff for the new vest. I think it's possible to now make one 100%, not just close. I NEED to nail this.

6 layers of skin tones already. You know, I now look forward to going to work. Less for me to do there except visit with great people. That & earn money instead of spend it.

Question, guys. In need of help/ advice. Elvis, Kf or Amnur please help. What do I use to make the straps on the shoulders of the vest? Do I use the sling I got to go across the chest to make the shoulder straps also? PLEASE HELP. I have the loading toys vest as a base. Thanks for any help, guys.

I've bought them here, there's a store who sells stuffs. But only sells 10mts of this, and I've used only 15cm :~

Morb, here's what I did.

His L strap has a blackened D ring. I looped some nylon through the D ring & glued it to itself, then put the securing strap which goes around/through the arm to neck hole.

His R has a plastic squeeze clip which connects on top of the shoulder where the front & back panels of the main body touch. The front section of the strap attached to the clip extends down to the horizontal strap which goes across his chest. It's the top most strap, the one where the neck connecting strap buttons attach to are on. Then like the L there is also a securing strap which goes through both neck & arm holes.


This make me think, do I really want to do this again.

Close, real close. Just need to do the eyes, lip detail & clear coat. I'll post images asap. Been crazy busy at work, which is great. Work 6 days a week, & work out then paint in the evenings.

Gotta say Amnur, this has proven to be a lot of fun. Hopefully tomorrow?

Okay KF, what do I HAVE to have done to my vest before you can paint it? I can do the shoulders after you paint it right? To me it seems I only need the straps accross the chest/stomach but I could be wrong. I'd like to do the shoulders after painted if possible.

Morbach,just need the straps across the chest piece. The neck & shouders can always be attached later. It won't affect the process. As long as those straps are on it will be just fine.
