:gah: Yeah. Oh well they usually give up just before February, just gotta wait it out :impatient: :monkey2

:lol :panic: This is true. I went to Academy Sports last night to look for some dumbbells, and they were packed. So many people in there buying stuff I thought there was a huge sale, but no just the New Year's losers spending money. There was a rather large couple (chunky, not quite obese yet) buying an elliptical machine, and I was tempted to ask them how long they think it'll be before they put it for sale on Craigslist.

MMMM again today

This is the elixir kids!

Avocado
Swiss chard
apple
cucumber
blueberries
spinach
(added some cinnamon)

What abs???

They're hidden behind years of drunkenness..Maybe someday. But i'm on my way, have not had a drink in a few months(record for me) so my lifts are finally paying off! So nice to workout and then not binge drink and the end of the week and throw it all away. Always asking for pics from people ski, not everyone has progress pics to post. (vascularity up, fat % going down, i have an excellent base of muscle just need to get at it with fat % loss) I've always lifted and exercised even while consuming alcohol. (not at the same time :)) It's amazing what not drinking will do for ya, who woulda thought? :cuckoo:

Time to rejuvenate the Liver...First things first.

Habanero Chiles’ Health Benefits

There are many myths against the consumption of habanero chile. People ignore the numerous benefits they could cause to human being health. Here are some of them:

  • All chilli peppers contain phytochemicals substances called capsaicinoids that produce capsicum. The capsicum is the ingredient that gives heat intensity when habanero chili peppers are ingested or applied topically.
  • When habanero chile is consumed, it binds with the mouth and throat which are the pain receptors of the heat. Once it is transmitted to the brain, it responds to this burning sensation by increasing heart rate perspiration and releasing body's natural endorphin.
  • Researches have shown that habanero chiles may have some beneficial properties as an anticoagulant. Small amounts of capsicum may help prevent heart attacks or strokes caused by blood clot.
  • In cases of cardiovascular diseases, some doctors recommend a bit of habanero chiles in dairy dishes because bad cholesterol could resist oxidation for a longer period of time and delay the development of a major risk.
  • Habanero chili peppers can provide symptomatic relief from rhinitis and possibly bronchitis by clearing mucus from stuffed noses or congested lungs.
  • Some studies in mice show that capsicum products in particular as could help people suffering from obesity to lose weight, even though this is not proved yet with human beings.
  • Capsicum peppers or Capsaicin in general are also a good substance for diabetes control by creating new cells that start producing insulin again.
  • In some countries, chilis are used in salves due to their slight anti-inflammatory and anesthetic effect. Some researches have proved in rats that capsicum products can block pain without causing temporary paralysis.
  • Habanero chiles consumption does not cause stomach aches or cancer even though people usually used to associate them. It has been proved there is not any relationship between them unless capsicum peppers have been adulterated with Sudan I, II, III, IV, para-Red and other illegal carcinogenic substances as aflatoxins and N-nitroso.
  • Several studies confirm that capsicum varieties could have an anti-ulcer protective effect on stomachs infected with H. pylori
  • Jalapeño and habanero chili peppers are a good source of vitamins as well as they are very high in potassium, magnesium and iron, which in turn, may be effective in protecting against cancer. They contain 357% more vitamin C than an orange: green habanero has twice as much as citrus fruit and red ones have three times more, plus an important amount of provitamin A. Moreover, they are a good source of most B vitamins in particular vitamin B6.
  • All kind of chili pepper powder and fresh habanero chiles may help control food contamination in countries where there is a minimal or even no refrigeration.

These fiery little peppers are not only a culinary delight but they have extensive health benefits as well.

Said to have gotten their name from Havana, Cuba they are the cousin of the Red Savina, the hottest pepper in the world. When they are young they are green, but as they ripen to their hottest potential they turn yellow, orange, or red.
Here in Playa del Carmen the main use for the habenero is in salsa. But what we don’t realize is that lovely green salsa that we put sparingly on our tacos al pastor has major health benefits. Most of the medicinal properties they have are due to the chemical that gives it its flavor found in the fruit and seeds. This chemical is known as capsaicin. The different levels of capsaicin determines how hot a particular pepper is (please see chart below). Capsaicin is said to do many miraculous things medicinally. It has been known to:

  • Trigger endorphins
  • Improve digestion
  • Lower triglycerides
  • Improve circulation
  • Improve fat oxidation
  • Decrease congestion
  • Lower cholesterol levels
  • Reduce high blood pressure
  • Prevents blood clots and heart disease
  • Protects against some kinds of cancer

I lost about 25 pounds doing Wiifit in 2009, but was bad ALL last year and prob gained 10 pounds back. Like to get down to 185 by May.

Ok...I'm back...Freelance FREE! Never again, will I take on such a work load. It really pisses me off that it took all my time and totally not letting me get back into my work out routine.

I'll be honest, it's kinda hard to get back into it....but i know I'll get pumped soon! :lol

Well I am on the shelf at least a week. Pinched a nerve in my neck at work that sent me to the ER. On 2 days bedrest and no gym for at least a week until the muscle spasms stop.

I can't remember the last time I was in this much pain. I almost passed out twice from it.

Of course knowing me, I will start sooner than later with lower body and ab workouts.
