Well I am on the shelf at least a week. Pinched a nerve in my neck at work that sent me to the ER. On 2 days bedrest and no gym for at least a week until the muscle spasms stop.

I can't remember the last time I was in this much pain. I almost passed out twice from it.

Of course knowing me, I will start sooner than later with lower body and ab workouts.

Batman neck! :lol

I have to do this !!!!!! I fell off the wagon last year. Had too many issues and endured a number of pains back, neck and shoulder. I took off the holiday week completely.

I need to get back into it. There is no choice.
 
I survived my fist Crossfit workout last night. Legs are freaking killing me from the 8 rounds of squats, but damn it was fun. As soon as the UPS guy gets here I'm going to hit the shoulders and triceps followed by 45 minutes on the elliptical.

Well I have a major set back. I had to go to the ER on Tuesday as I got injured at work. It seems I have re-aggravated a bulging desk in my neck causing my massive pain down my right arm. I start physical therapy on Monday and the Dr. says it more than likely will not go away.

With that said, I am going to change my whole focus and stop lifting weights and only do Yoga and running now. The Yoga will allow me to properly stretch my muscles while building strength and the running relaxes me.

After doing this for 3 months, I will re-evaluate my condition and see which path I want to take. More than likely, my weight lifting days are over and I will stay with resistance training, yoga, palates, and running from now on.
 
Can anyone recommend a good mass gainer?

I'm gonna start doing every other day for protein and mass. I have tried the dymatize stuff and it mixed like a _____.

This is the only mass gainer I use. Good taste, high in protein & calories not to mention the pricing is just right. 5lb tub for $15.89 or 10lb for $28.89. They've actually updated this particular brand to have fewer calories with the 2600, but I decided not to switch over & stick with what I know.

I recommend a blender to mix this as well, cause its pretty thick.

Sorry to hear bro. I hope you take it wasy. That's not something to mess with. The Yoga should help a lto.
 
Anyone have any ideas on how to manage elbow pains? Today was chest/triceps day and after about 3 exercises I had to drop the weight because my right elbow started to hurt like it was on fire. I applied the proper amount of testicular fortitude and finished the workout, but it's a little sore now and Tiger Balm is only good for so long.
 
I feel like that at times. The walk from the car to the gym is enough to turn you off if you let it. Feeling that wind in 18 degree weather... ugh.

But I have to try.
