Just got back threw a mile in there into the routine (I haven't ran in a while but a 5:35 mile is not too shabby for a bodybuilder), time to work on some customs and go to work!!!!

Most basic...

M- Chest, Bi's (1 hour cardio)
T - Legs, Cavles, Quads, Forearms (1 hour cardio)
W - Rest
Th - Shoulders, Tri's (1 hour cardio)
Fri - Back, Hamstrings (1 hour cardio)
Sat - Rest (1 hour cardio)
Sun - Start-Over (the split) (1 hour cardio)

I see you deviate from the norm of

Chest/Tri's
Back/Bi's

Why do is that ?

For one thing Jimmy, it's "the norm" and also by staying with that balance all the time you can never get one muscle trained to it's maximum potential by hitting that muscle multiple times in one day only with different exercises.

Guess what you workout whenever you are doing chest.... Yep, also the tricep. You can never fully engage the tricep by isolating away from the same muscle group on a different day.

That norm of split is a myth and works for a while but becomes stagnant if you want to develop fully.

Looks like I'm looking at a change.

Back/Tri's

Thanks brother.

What do you do specific to forearms ? I have been doing reverse curls

There's reverse curls, hammer curls, barbell curls, deadlifts, bent over rows.

Actually a lot of the back exercises incorporate forearms strength/movements.

Before getting injured, I'd use the 45lb bar behind my back (standing up, hands supported on your butt), hands about 12" apart, and curl my hands upwards at the wrist. It will work your inner forearms.

Also, see if they have the wooden rod with a rope and weights on the rope. Hold that out in front of you and wind the rope all the way up, then all the way down.

^^^ the rod with the rope is also a nice one!

There's some behind back wrist shrugs that can be done on a Smith machine as well. Instead of shrugging with the shoulders, use the wrist to curl the Smith bar.

I do the wrist curl with a cable.

I also do the hammer curls regularly.

I will try the rope .

Still trying to work on the spider curl ;)

Also that thing Bruce Lee used to do. He'd put weight on one side of a dumbbell and support his forearm on his leg (in a seated position) and twist his hand at the wrist.

Haven't been in this thread in some time, but I've been keeping up with my lifting. Since January, I've put on about 25-30 pounds (which was SOOOOO much harder then I thought, never eaten so much in my life :lol)

Question to you guys who have gotten injured. About 3 weeks ago, I was doing single arm dumbbell bicep curls (about 55 pounds) and my grip slipped and my wrist fell forward. I think I sprained it, it hurts when I twist the wrist and bend it forward or even put about 20 pounds of pressure on it for bicep, tricep, and chest exercises. So my question is, should I just wear a bunch of support and go down in weight but still lift, or should I just totally rest it until I'm pain free???? I don't want to lose all the beautiful sexy muscle that I've gained the past 6 months.....but at the same time, maybe I could use this injury as a break and body rest, then come back with get new gains and plateaus when I'm all healed up. Let me know what you guys think, thanks.

IMO Darth Caedus, I would continue training until you yourself know that it's unbareable. Now I'm not saying to kill it like you've been doing with a healthy wrist but yea maybe use some guard or straps that can move the motion away from the painful injury and perhaps swap out to other exercises that do not include the free from dumbbell. Maybe the nautilus or machine weight can be less taxing on the injury as well and it will recovery overtime. I've trained with injury and it is indeed frustrating, I actually have a flared achilles tendon on my right foot that I have to massage and warm up before doing any type of cardio, especially running or jogging but I know of only one way to fix it and it's surgery and I've heard it's never the same from several fellas. So I'll keep on trucking until it's inevitable and if it becomes more serious on whatever injury a person may have of course have the doctor check it out to see if it's more serious.
