Diet no longer represents what it used to. Growing up I was taught that diet was what you ate on a daily basis and taught the four food groups.

However, marketing and media transformed it into how you can look great by abandoning the basics. Diet has now become a fad word. When I talk to my doctor or friends who are nutritionalists, they hardly use diet anymore. It's what are your eating habits or lifestyle. When they say diet, they always hear, oh I am on the Jenny Craig, South Beach, NutriSlim, Taebo, etc... When what they want to hear is what does their daily food staple consist of.

I used to say diet but because of the media and the marketing of the word now, it does not mean the same anymore unfortunately.

Thus lifestyle or habit will be used.

Now we can agree to disagree.

And one last fun ***... Crosby SUCKS and SWALLOWS!!! Just as Bettman :nana:

If that's the case then the masses are wrong. And not everyone shares those thoughts so think what you want. With that said, what my friend is the word you would use to determine what we take in for food, besides just saying we're consuming food or eating? It's a diet. Maybe because I take the words at their value and not what a bunch of maroons (Bugs Bunny's spin on the word moron) say.

It is a diet and while it has a part to play in your life style, it's only one of many contributing factors to one's life style. Thus why I don't find your statement to be correct.

Oh and a Stanley Cup, Art Ross, Hart, Lester B. Pearson, not to mention numerous NHL and hockey records broken, and being that he's only 22 suggest that you're also incorrect on your choice of words concerning Sidney Crosby. :nana:

But I do know you're right on the money on your sentiments concerning Bettman! :exactly:

Lifestyle includes many things thus the word eating before it.

We can continue to disagree all day and we will agree that we disagree.

And I know what Crosby has done. I used to like the kid but how he started acting the past few years is what made me not be a fan.

And I wasn't taking a *** at his hockey skills just his jaw skills :lol

And Bettman is the WORST EVER!!!!!

Since we're on the topic of people and time put in... what is everyone's time put in the gym?

I am going 8 years strong! :rock

My gym time is well over 20 - Got started when I joined the Navy in '89.

Was 6' and 140lbs with 0% bodyfat.

Been as high as 250lbs with 6% bodyfat.

Now I am at 200lbs and 14% bodyfat but am dropping it pretty quickly since I am converting to trail running events and extreme obstacle courses.

Pushing weights is not in my "lifestyle" now :nana:

I stick to running, resistance training, swimming and bodyweight exercises now.

Lifestyle includes many things thus the word diet before it. As we all know that everyone has a diet. Some good and some bad. It's all a lifestyle choice.

We can continue to agree with Eli26 all day and we will agree that we agree on Eli26 being correct on this and many other matters.

And I know what Bing Crosby has done. I used to like the kid but how he started acting the past few years now has made me a greater fan.

And I wasn't taking a *** at his hockey skills because that would be crazy. :lol

And Bettman is the BEST FAIRY PRINCESS EVER!!!!!

I agree with everything you said, but it's not Bing Crosby. It's Sidney Crosby. Bing was a music crooner back in the 50's and 60's. Sidney Crosby is an NHL hockey superstar for the Pittsburgh Penguins. 2009 Stanley Cup Champions!

Now you sir, have done some impressive stuff. 250 lbs with 6 percent body fat. That is Ahhh-mah-zhin!

Was wondering if I could slip that past you :pfft:

All girls annoy the crap out of us eventually, all that matters is how hot they are while they do it...

This! I love that and how accurate can you be? 100 percent accurate!

We need to Stepford Wife chicas! :rock

Got in an hour at the gym this morning (chest & tri's) and an hour of Krav in the evening (straight punches, knees, hammer fists and choke defense)... gonna be sore in the morning, but soooo worth it.

Love Victor Costa's ethics, it's because of him that I don't count reps and it truly makes the difference in your physique versus people who do count reps and limit themselves.

I don't agree with that at all personally. I don't think you can or should go to failure on every set and without counting reps you can't document your progress. I'd much rather know what I did the week before and blow pass that and save my failure sets for when it's time to do them.

Gonna disagree.

and I'd have to write too much to explain.

edit: I actually stop documenting my progress a long time ago.

I want to see beastly pics from your progress then, put on the board!!!

Stacked 200lbs Woffard at %6-7 :lecture

Why do I need to know my weight and body fat though, there's no need for documenting things around these parts. I'll post before and after pics and we can all guess at my progress. :D

Nah I agree actually overall health does not have dimensions or weight.

So for arguments sake, why do you documenting reps? To know you are making progress?
