Re: Steel Brigade Re-Enlistment (FINAL 5...er 7! New Details #459)

Quick mock-up for my SB. Codename: Cheapskate.

The vest is long, but I think it's pretty cool.

Hopefully tomorrow's pics will show a successful dye job on both the vest and shirt.

Awesome start..

Is the uniform from Toy City USAF with built in elbow pads or from their new boxed uniform set?

It came in a little baggy with shirt, pants and shoes. About $25.

What body did you use? I might try it on a True Type body since it is a little larger than TC bodies.. BTW, thanks for the info..

Should you still encounter some problems (baggy fit).. Another option would be the DAM or ACE Body..

Re: Steel Brigade Re-Enlistment (FINAL 5...er 7! New Details #459)

Yeah, it is really big. I put it on an old broad shoulder true type. The baggy fit works with the oversized vest I have, so doesn't look too bad.

Re: Steel Brigade Re-Enlistment (FINAL 5...er 7! New Details #459)

Here's a shot right out of the dye. The RIT dark green is REALLY dark. Almost a charcoal grey/green.

The shirt was dyed in a mix of aquamarine and royal blue. Not really happy with it, as the tan made it look green.

The vest for Law on the other hand came out perfect.

The center one looks good for SB.

The last two helmets were deployed today to California and New York.

The End.

And some thung who starts 'em.

And someone who likes the eagles and tracks.

Does that mean you've axed the no neck version?

For the time being it does. I'll see what's what after I'm all caught up on my promises.

Just wanted to take a sec and thank all you guys from the first batch to the final one for being a part of it. I know it took a while for most you to get your helmet and I appreciate you sticking it out and putting up w/ the delays. It really is a blast seeing what you've all come up with in terms of making your trooper your's, and to be honest I think that's why I kept revisiting the project over and over. You guys all made it worth while. Yo Joe! :)

This entire endeavor COULD NOT have been MADE POSSIBLE without you . . . period.

I can honestly say that the 1:6 STEEL BRIGADE is one of the best . . . IF NOT . . . THE BEST 1:6 custom GI JOE ARAH head ever produced.

As for future project suggestions . . .
