doesn't matter still drew me in as a booty expert.

So... this is actually a terrible movie, just has female nudity and blood so boys are lining up? That's sad to hear.
The only thing this film has going for it is the nudity of the younger better version, and how the camera focuses on sexualizing her, but she likes it, she craves it.

The rest of the film is typical Hollywood garbage painting men as the Antichrist.

Gotta love the hypocrisy of movies that exploit the very thing they claim they're revealing as exploited. Like Sucker Punch.
Yeah, they have the girl in slow motion doggy style arches with a magnifying glass over it emphasizing every part of her body, then slap your hand for wanting a piece as a man.

It’s the typical - girl feels she needs to be as sexy as possible to be seen, to be praised, then once she has that attention, denounces the people that took interest in her, making her famous. They want to use men as a tool to get what they want, but don’t want guys to use them to get what they want.

I think the point of that booty close up scene was to point out how ridiculous it was that she was completely fine with having a camera zoomed right in on her *** and was only bothered by the possibility of someone seeing a blemish on it.

That’s my point, they have no issues selling their body to be a star but have issues with the people buying.

Then there’s also the bit where Sparkle has zero intentions of calling or going on a date with the ugly loser from 10th grade, until she’s no longer the hot topic and is lonely, so she gives him a ring, they set up a date, then she bails on him because she thinks she doesn’t look good enough for even him now.

In the end, it’s only about her and how she feels.

Isn't it always?
It depends if she feels she has you on lock and key.
If she still feels like she has to win you over,
it becomes about how you feel, instead of her, at least more than if she feels like you’re going nowhere.

It’s an amazing feeling to have a hot girl tell you she’s falling for you / is in love with you without chasing her with your affection. Choosing when to show her affection back is the key to success. The balance.

Except the high school love interest was a genuinely nice guy. It was about how she wanted to impress the pieces of **** men around her who only wanted to use her and ignored the people who liked her for who she is.

Men are allowed to be ******** in films without it having an agenda against all men.

That’s reality.

Girls don’t want a guy who’ll be available like their big brother or father, unconditionally.

That guy was painted to be an *****,
just like the rest of the men in this.

He hands her a wet ripped paper with his number on it despite having dry paper on hand to re-write his number down.

This is to make him appear weak, soft, no confidence; a loser.

All the other men are painted as the devil reincarnated.

I’ve never in my life ate food like the guy eats shrimp, it’s meant to make him appear like a beast, like men aren’t there mentally.
Zero self awareness.

She only called the nerd to get her confidence back up, for her ego.
As her confidence has since faded.

the butt shots from behind were fake too.
tli remember the director saying that they had a body double for the butt scenes and close ups.
What??? Then why is Dum-mee getting so many positive reviews for being "so brave" then?

It kinda has to be that way though. You couldn't have a film about the horrors of war and not show any violence.

Of course you could, and its been done many times -- you could show the aftermath, the death and destruction. You could do things through suggestion -- for example, many movies generally don't show the specific horrors of the gas chambers functioning in Nazi Germany, instead you hear screams, see reactions, see smoke billowing from stacks, etc. There's a million ways to do things as opposed to exploiting what your shaming as exploitive.

Don't show the shark, show the barrel.

Just as women are allowed to be ******** in films without it having an agenda against all women. Well.. I thinnnnk... :unsure:I'll just post that idea on my Twitter right now and see what pops up.

And yes so genuinely nice it is an homage to Groundhog Day.
