Just saw it as well. Loved it also.

although I have the same feeling. there were a few plot holes but over all enjoyable.

As the cgi could have been better.

But this is not a James Cameron film so it was good for what money they spent.

7/10

remember the scene in which the the american woman turned her back on the Dutch woman or whatnot and it revealed itself as the THING and attacked her? I see no reason why, at that very moment, it decided it has been discovered? If anything, one of the few times I didn't think a person was the THING

It was obviously going to imitate said person that why it did what it did

Saw it last night. I really enjoyed it. Sure there was bit more CG than I would have liked but in the end it was a good monster movie.
I knew Lars would be the survivor who was shooting at the dog in the beginning of the 80's move the moment they mentioned he didn't speak english. I also loved the scene at the end that showed the aftermath and you saw the body of the guy who had slashed hit throat and wrists and his blood had frozen. Total nostolgia and of course the split head Thing was really cool. I went to the movie mainly to see that.
Again it doesn't come close to Carpenter's masterpiece but overall I'm very satisfied with this move.

Yeah the monsters from the Thing were always my favorite. I got an email from Amazon this morning telling me that my soundtrack will be arriving tomorrow!!!

saw this yesterday.........had some good elements to it but a few holes in continuity & a tad too much cgi for me to call it great. loved the ending/credits.

Just watched John Carpenter's The Thing, such a grear film, not in need of a remake at all.

With the positive comments though i'll watch this on TV, no sense paying for it, that'll just convince hollywood to remake other great films.

i was thinking about the ending..maybe he was not a creature..but it was her who was the monster..i will need to see it again..but i was just wondering because he was begging for his life and he could of attacked her at anytime..
