Meh movie! Sorry, but the 90 minute ending was a killer and dragged on forever.

CRY YOU LOTR LOVING GAFFERS! CRY! hehe

I did enjoy the first two, especially the second. Just cut off an hour on the third one and we're good!

Why would any of them cry. Your opinion doesn't matter.:lol:lol:lol

A favorite movie quote of mine:

Oh God, don't get me started on the "Two kinds of people" quotes. This thread will hit 100 pages in no time!

"There's two kinds of spurs, my friend. Those that come in through the door (Tuco kisses crucifix), and those that come in by the window." :lol

that's cuz there are basically 2 rules in life.
1. you dont mess with eastwood's duds.....ever.
2. you dont mow another guy's lawn.

Makes me wonder...has anyone *ever* messed with Eastwood in a movie and gotten away with it? I can't think of a single time. Even when he's the "sort of" bad guy in A Perfect World, the hero Kevin Costner is the one who ends up getting killed. (yeah, I know he's not really the villain...maybe antagonist is a better word).

No, I love my neverending-ending for ROTK! Too many movies end on a shot of the hero and his girl hugging, and then pull out or cut to black. The LOTR trilogy was so huge (each extended edition was like 3 and a 1/2 hours long!) it deserved to have such a long ending to tie up all those different stories properly.

The Vengeance Trilogy was good (though it's not a 'true' trilogy. The only similarities is the main theme running through them). Of the three "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance", "Oldboy" and "Lady Vengeance", "Oldboy" was the strongest but the third one was a good finish.

Of course "The Lord of the Rings" was a fantastic trilogy with all good installments. "The Evil Dead" series was quite good as well.

Of course I could name far more trilogies with very bad third installments (Matrix Revolutions, POTC: Dead Man's Chest, T3, Revenge of the Sith, X3, Spiderman 3, Shrek 3, Goldmember).

Oh, I actually liked the third installments of Shrek and Austin Powers the most. :huh

Im kind of late to the thread but has anyone mentioned Once Upon A Time in Mexico? I thought it was a great film and Johnny Depp really stole the show.

How about another Robert Rodriguez film, Spy Kids 3-D. I know these are kids films but there is just enough action and special effects to entertain us kids at heart. Stallone wasn't bad as the final villain, either.

Also, I know it isn't a trilogy because they are still making them but Goldfinger is considered one of if not the best Bond film ever made and it was the third.

We all remember -

OO7 - Do you expect me to talk?

Goldfinger - No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to DIE!
