I can't remember if Bob told Gareth his name but he was trying to talk the guy out of eating them back at terminal when they were lined up for the bash and slash. Cosmic justice would be referring to the terminites about to kill them and eat them only to have one of bobs group Rambo their entire base/home/compound, destroying it, only to have the terminites catch up and grab Bob, the one trying to talk them out of it.

I am loving the new showrunner, for me season 4 and these 2 episodes are so amazing. I really really hope they don't get rid of him

Completely agree. Gimple seems to have a great appriciation and understanding of the source material but isnt afraid to take it to new places. And to come in when and how he did can't be an easy thing to deal with.

Solid episode, with some nice setups for the rest of the season.

2 - Bob's not bit. Sorry, but there's nothing to indicate it. I know why the comic readers want it, but everything he did fit with the rest of the episode. When he kissed what's-her-face, he said "Another one" because it's their 'thing'. They did - and he said - the same thing on the road earlier. He went outside to cry because he's the guy that always stays upbeat and positive, but that's hard to do. He wanted to go to DC - see how he acted with Abraham earlier. He wouldn't go without Rick, but he wanted to go. Rick agreeing was a load off for him too, a relief. Add that in with all the pressure to be positive, and you get moments where he has to be by himself and let off some pressure, hence the crying. On top of that, he came back with them and spent several hours with them before going outside. That's not something he would have done had he feared dying at any time. That doesn't mean it still can't happen, but there was nothing in this episode that would lead you to believe Bob was bit. And Bob ain't done yet...

Some good points, but I disagree that there is nothing that indicates Bob was bit.

1.) He was attacked by a walker underwater.

2.) He was crying outside the church.

3.) He seemed to be limping.

Now you may be right and all three of those things don't mean he was bit, but they could also indicate he was bit. I am going on record to say that he was bit. Rick and company will rescue him. They will bring him back to the church and discover he was bit and say their goodbyes to him.

I like your insights into the show. Good stuff.

You both make good arguments on whether Bob was or wasn't bitten. :duff

I'm thinking he was bitten and it happened off camera.

The next episode needs to hurry up and be here. :impatient:

:lecture Is it Sunday yet?!? :impatient:

What's his story, if I may ask? This is interesting.

Long story short:

Frank Darabont started this series with AMC and was the showrunner for S1 and most of the first half of S2. Darabont clashed with AMC on the direction for the show and was "fired". Glen Mazzara came in and edited some of the Darabont episodes from the first half of S2 and then ran the show for the rest of S2 and S3. Rumor has it that he clashed with Robert Kirkman over the direction of the show and was "fired" as a result. Personally, I thought Mazzara started off ok, but got worse as things went on. I hold him responsible for the character assassination of Andrea. They screwed her up so bad that the only option left was to kill her off. Hands down worst episode of the series for me was the S3 episode "Prey". he was also responsible for letting the Governor live past the S3 finale (which was pretty weak.) Scott Gimple was promoted to show runner in S4 and righted the ship. Him and Kirkman have a good working relationship. Gimple started with TWD in S2 and worked his way up.

OK, maybe not so short, but that is the history as I understand it.

He almost killed Rick as a good lead too. Why would a show runner make the lead villain sympathetic and their hero an annoying mess? :dunno

I was so glad to see Mezerzazzaazzzaaaaazaaaazzzzz go. :lol

Love to. But I've picked several movies to watch during the shows we usually watch. Should make it easier to miss until then. :D

I'm glad my wife and I have no shared interests in TV shows. I tired to get her into Game of Thrones and she made it 3 episodes...that's 2 more than I thought she would watch.

My wife started watching Season 1 of TWD last week but she hasn't watched it since. I don't think she liked it. :lol

We pretty much watch all the same stuff. Granted, there are some things she prefers more than I do, and vice versa, but neither of us has a show we go in another room to watch. Weird, but kinda cool too.

Action and comedy from the 80s. A sure bet for proper entertainment and distraction from missing my shows.

It really is a show that people either love, warts and all, or hate immensely.

Yeah he defiantly got Rick back to where he needs to be. I will say though looking back at the story as a whole, it makes sense to me for Rick to go through his crazy farmer phase in order to get him to be the point he's at now.
