I don't think Bob was bitten. I think it's more the wine tempting him at the church celebration. He was a hardcore alcoholic.

That's a good observation I didn't remember that, plus I don't think he would have given out a kiss if he thought he was infected???

I think once Tyreese sees Martin again and what he and the Terminites have done to Bob he'll lose it and Martin will meet a much deserved brutal end.

HAMMER TIME!
Haha, just noticed that walker's reaction to getting hit was slow... :slap

Since they all have the "virus" in them now, I thought it would take a leathel wound to cause the change. I didn't think a bite necessarily meant you'd become a walker.

Wasn't it established that they were all infected? A kiss wouldn't really turn anyone I don't think, but again, it's been a while since that episode so I'm not 100% sure.

Hershel got bit and they cut off his leg , the bit speeds up the transformation

That water was disgusting and could've been contaminated. Why did they jump in again? Any injuries/scratches/orifices/etc would have been contaminated from that no?

You have to let that kind of stuff go it seems. They bludgeon Walkers while screaming with their mouths wide open all the time and they probably always have cuts from travelling through forests etc etc

They are all infected. I would guess for everyone to be infected, it had to be airborne initially. Everything we have seen so far indicates that if the virus enters the blood stream directly (i.e. - thorough a cut, bite, etc) it causes fever and death.

Well, the survivors can't blame any of this on Rick now. He was the one who wanted to go back and finish off the Termites. If they had done that, Bob wouldn't be the main course on the menu right now with the rest of Rick's group being hunted by the remaining Termites. I love how much more pragmatic (and almost Shane-like) Rick has become. He is much more like his comic counterpart now.

I thought it was a really good episode. Yes, it was slower than the season premier, but it is nice to see them have a couple of moments of joy before the inevitable ***** hits the fan. Some random observations:

1.) Father Gabriel probably locked himself inside the church (and his congregation out) hence the "you'll burn in hell" for this scratched into the church wall outside.

2.) My guess is the zombie with the glasses was the organist or a prominent church member that Gabriel worked closely with, but I doubt there was any romantic involvement.

3.) Gabriel looked like Jesus on the cross when he was going to let the glasses zombie bite him.

4.) Loled at the Tara/Rick fist bump.

5.) Carol was going to leave the group in the car she and Daryl found. The battery was charged in the trunk and she lied to Daryl about it.

6.) I agree with the consensus that Bob was probably bitten at the food bank. Only reason I can think of as to why a guy who is so upbeat and positive would break down and cry is because something bad was/or is about to happen to him. Interesting that he wasn't showing any signs of fever in the church. Sasha even touched his face during their last kiss and didn't seem to notice anything.

7.) I wonder what the exchange between Abraham and Rosita was all about when Michonne was bashing a walker's head in. I think he said something like, "...and that is why we will wait until we make our move."

8.) When Rick was telling Carl not to trust anyone, it sounded like he mentioned Abraham by name. Anyone else hear this or did I mis-hear it?

9.) I didn't see Bob smiling or start to smile at the end of the episode. He looked horrified and in shock. That scene is one of those scenes that will be talked about for a long time.

10.) I have a feeling Martin is going to "out" Tyreese as not being able to kill him. If this happens, I wonder how Sasha will take the news considering it leads to Bob's current situation and presumed upcoming death.

11.) During my rewatch of the season premier, I can't stand how Martin talks with Tyreese as he is chewing something (gum?). Not what he is saying so much, but how he says it. He comes across as so cocky and arrogant. Martin and Gareth cannot die soon or horribly enough for me.

12.) Another sign carved into the tree. My guess is Gareth and his group are using them as signs/signals to track Rick and his group. It will be interesting to see how Morgan factors into the Bob/Hunters storyline.

We re-wound that part with Abraham & Rosita three time and couldn't make out what he was saying.

Some of my thoughts on the episode-

- I would have never gone into that water in the basement. Who knows if there could have been waterlogged walkers under the surface.

- I agree that Gabriel most likely turned his flock away and hoarded all the supplies for himself.

- As soon as Bob went under I figured he was bitten and when we went out for a cry that just helped seal it for me.

- I don't how Morgan will play into all this. Maybe we'll find out that:

1) He's still very nuts

2) He can't say no to a good BBQ :lol

Right, they deserve to die slowly and be fully aware of whats happening to them when Rick and the guys get em

And just where the hell is Beth!? :gah: I've been thinking about it since she disappeared last season, its killing me

I think we will learn what happened to Beth and where she is now that Daryl and Carol are following that car with the white cross in the rear window. BTW, that looked like a different car than the one that took Beth. Maybe there are several of those cars going around picking up people and making them a part of their community???

Maybe... thats makes sense.

I always like these kind of episodes, makes me wonder if they will follow the whole
Dale being Tainted meat but switching him for bob
bit from the comic. Whats the general though on Father Gabriel then? he seems a little shifty.

Also when is carl going to die lol 5 seasons and i still hate him.

I like the theory about Bob seeing the wine, that actually would make a lot of sense. I'm pretty sure it's a bite though, I don't think an alcoholic would go out and cry.

Here's hoping that Bob gets the last laugh. I mean, Bob was never one of those characters I've really cared about, but he's had an interesting journey. I dogged him. I still remember thinking he was some Governor spy when his character was first announced last year.

It would be interesting if they turned a little "differently" than normal, due to their ingesting as opposed to dying. Then again, maybe cooking the meat kills the infection? :huh:lol
