Thanks. Thanks for that. :lol

Sorry folks. But I am on Michael's side with this one. Carol has become a character of impulsive action. She knows Beth is in the Slabtown hospital. She knows Daryl is in trouble with the Slabtown folk. What does she do? She acts. Impulsively and quickly in the best way she knows how.

I'm not going to discount that theory, it just never crossed my mind until Michael brought it up.

You're dead to me. :wink1:

Also, in regards to your double post, two wrongs don't make it right. :lol

Don't you mean Noah?

Daryl and Noah are in the same boat as far as the dangers of getting caught. I think Daryl's safety is more at front of Carol's actions than Noah. I'll play along. :lol

How does she know this?

They (Carol and Daryl, hereafter knows and "Caryl") know Slabtown folk aren't exactly the Welcome Wagon.
They know they hold people against their will (Beth and the escaped Noah).
They know Noah is supremely scared of them.
They know the gunfire has drawn Slabbies attention.
They saw the Slabtown Welcome Wagon circling around looking for them.

The Slabtown folk are a threat to team "Caryl", yo. And they know it. Not sure why, of all things, you would need me to spell this out to you.

Where's the smiley face? I am just messing with you. I disagree with you, but just messing with you.

All of what you say above is true. However, why does Carol think she would stand a better chance with the Slabtown people than Daryl?

She got hit by a car folks - that's it.

P.S. - I thought you were on Team Darick?

:slap No. I don't like the possibility, which is beginning to pick up steam, that Carol may have gotten hit on purpose. Just ridiculous.

Carol's become pretty resourceful. But come on now.

What difference does it make? Whether it picks up steam or not, it's just opinions.

Technically, anything is possible, but Carol getting hit by a car on purpose is highly improbable. More laughable than anything.

It's only MC and pixy that believe in this theory and pixy is always wrong. :wink1:

No, that's cool. I have been told I use smiles too much, so I am making a conscious effort to use them less. haha

*"haha" doesn't count as a smiley, right?

Can I introduce you to a fellow named Marty McFly, who would disagree with you? What she did wasn't far off from what he did.

Huh? :lol

I haven't seen BTTF in a long, LONG, time, but didn't he push his old man out of the way of the car, which hit him instead?

Edit: Wait, this is all part of a master plan worthy of the A-Team? Oy vey. SMH.

I still concede that her simply getting hit is possible. Not realistic, but possible. Why not realistic? Tell me exactly how she didn't see or hear the car? It wasn't speeding, because it didn't know where they were, so it was at a scouting speed - rewatch it and you'll see. Do you think they hit her on purpose? I mean did they see her and decide to hit her and grab her? Sure seemed that way to me, but I'm assuming if you think a person on foot in a deserted city with zero background noise of any kind couldn't hear or see a car coming on a major street, that the people in the car certainly didn't see her in time to avoid her either.

It seems that you think it's ridiculous that Carol would do something they do all the time - in fact they did it at least twice in that episode alone. Create a diversion to save someone. She knew the car was coming - she even knew what direction it was coming from. When she went ahead of Daryl and Noah out of the building, it wasn't to run away and leave them behind, it was to protect them as the forward person. If she didn't see the car, why would she keep running? Why would she put that much distance between her and Daryl? That makes sense to you, knowing what you know about Carol?

While it's possible that she was putting that much distance between herself and someone she cares about, while it's possible she was not paying enough attention to see a moving car making plenty of noise coming from a direction she expected, I find that all much more 'ridiculous' or 'laughable' than the idea that she knew the car was coming, moved out in advance of the injured Noah and Daryl who was helping him, left the building and saw the car coming, and in that split second decided that the best way to save Daryl (who was still inside the building and out of sight) was to create another diversion. Maybe she didn't actually expect to get hurt - maybe she figured she'd jump out of the way at the last minute and she was just too tired and hurt, or maybe her gun jammed - they purposefully didn't show us anything from the time she opens the door til the actual impact. Carol is a person who acts, and that sort of action makes sense in the context of her character. The idea that she somehow didn't see or hear the car coming? That's pretty far fetched.

Well, looks like we have something to go back and forth on until next Sunday. :lol

I still think she got hit by accident - meaning she didn't plan to get hit. I think the Slabtown cops meant to hit her, but that could be another debate altogether.

What I like about these discussions is that there are many different opinions and viewpoints that are presented that allow you to think about things from another perspective. I am trying to see things from the perspective of Carol getting hit on purpose. The only thing I can come up with is that if she did get hit on purpose, it was to kill herself and end her misery/suffering (I think she is near suicidal when you consider all her flashbacks) - comic spoiler
and in a way - pay homage to her comic counterpart
which could possibly "save" Daryl in the process. I don't think she would ever decide to get hit on purpose as a means to get inside the hospital and save Beth (because she even said it in this episode that she doesn't believe you can save people anymore).
