But they know you think that's too predictable and are therefore expecting everyone to live. So to keep you on your toes they have no choice but to kill one or more core members.

I do think the chocolate will get her caught to some degree. She might be able to write it off as making cookies for the kids, but she'll still probably get in a little trouble for sneaking in at taking it without permission. I have no idea if they actually keep track of the gun inventory though. The food, I bet they keep that on a tight leash.
