Mister Ski
Super Freak
Monday morning musings on the episode:
- Who thinks Rick killed Pete? He shoots at him, but we don't see the actual shot or the body afterwards. I still tend to think he killed him, but there is the possibility that he missed on purpose or only wounded him. Him being a doctor is one reason to try and keep him around.
- I don't think Glenn was bit. They did that storyline with Bob, so I don't think the writers would go back to that well again.
- Scott Gimple is da man! He has turned this show around from S3.5 and it is firing on all cylinders.
- Morgan should have killed those two Wolves. His new "all life is precious" philosophy is going to be challenged by Rick and his group. I can see Rick and Morgan clashing over their different views on this subject next season.
- Daryl decapitating those three walkers with the metal chain was vintage Nicotero. Kill of the season for me. The top of one of the heads stuck to the side of the truck was an especially nice touch.
- Father Gabriel is one character I doubt I will ever like. I understand he is going through a tough time and almost opted out. If that is what you want to do, then fine. I have a problem with him (and people in real life) who decide they want to take people with them before they go. He was too much of a coward to do it himself, so he tried to get Sasha to do it for him, but not before he left the front gate open and put everyone at risk! I was really hoping a could put another red "X" over his picture on my signature.
- The Wolves "W" looked like it was drawn on their foreheads, while their victims had the "W" carved in the foreheads. Must be their calling card.
- Carol. I remember her from the beginning as a mousy, house wife. Strictly a background character who I was sure was eventual walker chow. She started to show her strength when she insisted on being the one to bury Ed and she beat his corpse to a pulp in the process. After Sophia's death, she began to harden herself to the world she was trying to survive in. She started to hold her own in S3 and managed to survive in the prison alone for a couple days. She started to show her real world pragmatism when she suggested to Andrea to kill the Governor in his sleep. S4 she made the executive decision to kill Karen and David in an attempt to stop the sickness from spreading. She was exiled, survived on her own and met up with Tyreese and the girls after the prison fell. She had to kill Lizzie (one of the most heart wrenching episodes in the series). S5 she channels Rambo and rescues the group from the Termites. Now in Alexandria, she plays the role of happy home maker to provide cover for her stealing guns, threatening Pete and becoming one of the people Rick trusts most in the group. She has grown from a background character that I could care less about to one of my favorite characters on the show. That is a testament to the strong acting skills of MMcB and the strong writing skills of the writers of this show.
