It wasn't a van (unless you're talking about another vehicle) and it wasn't exactly out in the open. It was in the yard with the handful a Walkers running around. Regardless of whether it had gas in it or not, wouldn't you at least try and hotwire it and exhaust all your options before deciding to take on the horde of Walkers in hand to hand combat? Worst case, you throw it in neutral and let it roll to another location that might be closer to an exit or safe spot (another vehicle, the silos, etc).

Yeah you'd try that or maybe roll down the window slightly and try to stab as many of them in the head as you could before even thinking of getting out (which really should have been certain death)

Yes. This too. Another thing to do would be to take Daryl's lighter/matches (he lit a cigarette) and use it to start a fire with some of the garbage in the car and set some of the Walkers on fire since they are drawn to it.

Like Rambler said though, the scene was done the way it was done to put Daryl in danger and make Morgan's entrance all that much more dramatic.

I have to admit I was going crazy with frustration and yelling, "OH, COME ON!!!!" throughout the show. I mean, so many idiotic things happening! I was practically ready to shut the damn thing off when Glenn followed Nicholas, and Gabriel leaving the gate open, and Rick not yelling out to warn people as he ran around. :slap

But it all ended okay. It was just incredibly frustrating to watch all these set ups done in the most dumb way possible. I liked Deanna's "Do it". I'm sure Morgan can't hold that against Rick once he knows the background of the situation. Hopefully Glenn will get Nick to confess everything so the group can get their reputation fixed.

Maybe we can get Carol to do a cover of this.

what did piss me off was all the hype, Norman saying that you should "get your tissues" everyone hyping up the 90 minute crazy finale, It would be one thing if they just let it be but they made it sound like this was going to be like the ending of season 2 or something where main characters were going to die. that was pretty stupid

I didn't mind the misdirection. I actually think it's good that they didn't kill anyone just because of some arbitrary ''it's the finale'' reason.

I think Morgan's new outlook is going to be interesting when dealing with Rick cause now Deanna and the rest of the town are on board.

Morgan confused me. He said all life is precious and gave the Wolves chance to escape but then, after knocking them out, he put them in the car and sounded the horn - ringing the dinner bell?

They seemed to survive because the long haired one slit the guys throat later on?

The Wolves don't seem very clear yet.

I think the misdirection was an unnecessary attempt to drum up viewers. Tons of people were going to watch regardless. All this does is make me not believe anything Gimple, Herd or Kirkman say again.

I would have been fine with the finale, but all the "hype" made it seem like a let down. It was an Ok finale, but not as mind blowing as they made it out to be.

Gimple saying next season is going to be bigger and better sounds like something he has already said before.

In the Talking Dead the actor explained that Morgan was checking to see that walkers would NOT come when he honked the horn, to make sure they would be safe. It didn't come across like that at all to me. I read it that he wanted to attract the walkers or even alert any other wolves to come pick up their men.

I think both of the Wolves from the beginning of the episode are the same two guys at the end. So Morgan indirectly killed Red Poncho Guy. :slap :lol

Methinks Lennie James may be talking out of his ass. :lol

Actors are notorious for defending and/or explaining away their characters and/or their actions, no matter how bizarre or nonsensical.

I figured he put them in the car to keep the walkers from getting to them, but I didn't understand why. I guess he doesn't want to kill any humans at all now.

I interpreted it the same way ... but, on Talking Dead, the guy who plays Morgan said he was honking the horn to see if there were any walkers around. He was making sure it was safe to leave them, not ringing the dinner bell.

What did Gimple or Kirkman say about the finale? Do you have a link? I know that Reedus made a comment about getting your tissues ready and Hurd said on Talking Dead that blood would be spilled and not all of it would be Walker blood (which was true), but other than that I didn't hear too much hype about the finale - at least not from the people you mention. :dunno

I guess they figured we'd be upset over the death of Deanna's husband or Pete, but........pffffffft. :dunno
