Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

The second episode was a vast improvement of the first of this season, IMO. So glad it seems to be picking up again. The acting seemed much better this episode, and the pacing seemed much better as well.

A lot of different things are developing -

Anyone else thing T-Dawg's going to croak and come back as as walker, given the whole plot point in the comics where dead people turn into walkers even if they don't get bit?

So I guess they only have the season premieres on their site? :(

I'm not sure about now, but that's how it was all of last season.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Why is the only black person on the show named T-Dog? Why can't his name be Larry or Ron or something?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

For animals, yes. Humans, no. :lol

Though, if I were in the same position, I wouldn't be _____ing at all. A vet is better than some bum with a scalpel. :lol

I've never really understood this viewpoint on Vets. I don't know how it is in the US, but in Canada vets go through all the same schooling as doctors and then some. It's actually harder to get into Vet School than Med School. They may not practice on humans everyday, but they have the knowledge to do anything doctors do.

I've begun to notice Hollywood loves having characters say they're vets, and thus can't do anything medically related.

:lol Here in the US, vets don't have to go to medical school, they go to Veterinarians go to Veterinary school or Vet Tech school. But given the circumstances Rick's facing right now, beggars can't be choosers and a vet is better than Joe Schmoe.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I don't know. I grew up in a small town, and our town Doctor had flunk'd out of Vet school and that is why he became a regular Doctor.

I always thought, that yes the schooling is different, but the logic is the same.

I mean, they do have combat medics practice on pigs for a reason.

Vets don't have the same familiarity with human anatomy that they do with animals. Yes, it's similar, but it's not the same. I would guess that veterinary education is more complex because it deals with multiple species, whereas an MD only deals with one.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Just bought the whole season from iTunes. The $35 hurt a little, but the season is twice as long.

Can't wait to dig into it. :rock
