Yes! I've been rooting for Rick and Michonne to get together since Season 3! :panic:

Also, I'm already quite fond of the TV show's version of Jesus. Things are about to change big time.

Solid episode and good followup to the mideason premiere! :D

Been reading since issue #1. (Mainly because I wanted a decent replacement for the original awesome zombie comic "DEADWORLD" . And was waiting on the show since the early days of greenlighting with Darabondt, so I feel pretty qualified to talk about this show.

Its been interesting seeing the changes they have made from the comics. For me, its been about 50/50 on the choices.

Negatives:
Shane should never have died how he did, should have been done like comics. I understand in the early stage of the show they had to bow to the pressure from TV execs to not show a child committing murder. These days they would get away with it easy. Rating s=power
Of course this left out the awesome scene where Rick goes back to dig up Shane to kill his zombie....terrible they left this out.
Dale's death was just stupid.
Lori's and Judith death should have been as it was in comics.
The Governor should have been more sadistic .

Positives
Addition of Daryl and Merle
Carol , better character
Lizzie
Killing off Andrea (love her in comic, just very bad casting)
Hershel better character

Heres my bit. Daryl is a one trick pony. After his obvious turn in the early episodes to a moral character (turning against his brother) what has he really done? Be the cool bad boy? So he's the Fonzie of the show? TO say you would stop watching a show with an ensemble cast due to the loss of a very typically written almost silent character who really only is featured in a few moments of most episodes is crazy talk. To say its the only reason you watch the show anymore is even crazier. To spends hours of you life watching a show to get 60 minutes of screen time over a year from a single character????? Gee , I only watch Firefly to see Jane, Star Trek for Data, GOT for Tyrion, Breaking Bad for Jessie, SOA for Tig.....thats just a colossal waste of time...especially for a character thats not growing.

Its the The Walking Dead....not the Daryl Dixon show.

Persoanlly I do hope they kill him just because I Would love to see the blogesphere explode... However , he's a money draw for AMC so I doubt they will kill him until the show is on its last legs.

It will be an interesting show of power for the writers to kill of a character thats clearly run his course story wise, versus a producer and network wanting to keep viewers for a popular bad boy.

I say start writing something to make Daryl interesting again....or kill him off in a shocking way. Norman Reedus can act...so let him!!!!! Enough with ethe bad boy silent type thing.....its been going on far to long.

wrong

he is the only survivalist on the show, the only one that knows how to track and properly hunt. that help the group and helped the story many times
he developed a friendship with carol, he saved beth, he developed a friendship with beth. you might take that for granted but that did advance the story
he joined the claimers and we got to have a new storyline with them, thats not nothing
he saved rick and carl when he got bet up for them
yeah, in Alexandria it might seem like Daryl is useless. or pointless, but before that he clearly wasnt' he is more useful than Glenn or Maggie or Abraham

he is the odd man out. not the coolboy

I figured something was coming after what happened last week. When Rick went out to fight the walkers alone, Michone told the doctor "Rick's out there alone. He needs me!" Then she kissed Carl and ran out there. On a side note, does anyone know what the hierarchy is now? Rick is in charge but who's next, Daryl or Michone? Or maybe it's Carol?

Great episode. A good follow up to last week.

I can't believe the comments on Nerdist and Facebook hating on the show. They thought the whole thing was silly and picked it all apart. No pleasing some people. I thought it was a good one. A light hearted one for a change.

The friends that I watched the episode with last night thought it was an excellent follow up to last weeks episode and we all enjoyed it immensely. :yess:

You're right; there's no pleasing some people. Some people just love to complain all the time. :huh

I thought last night's episode was great. I don't think I've ever laughed that much during a TWD episode, and that was very welcome after the intensity of last week.

A gun group I belong to hated it as well. They all like to think they would be these bad asses if they were in the same situation but no one knows how they would handle it unless they were there.

They are just like some of the members here. If it's an action packed episode they ***** about, where's the story AMC? If it's a story driven episode they're like, this is sooo boring AMC. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I agree completely, it was a nice change of pace and tone, most I enjoyed an episode in a while.

Since I don't know what happens next (unlike many on this board) I'm very intrigued and curious bout how their "world is about to get a lot bigger", according to Jesus in the preview.

I thought last night's episode was dumb from the beginning. So predictable. The moment they found the truck I was saying just take it back to the camp because we all know what always happens. Then I was like well at least take two cars. Then yes Rick let's wait long enough to get free before starting the truck. The whole fiasco after that was like a 3 stooges episode. Bring on more filler episodes

They didn't know he was an escape artist so that first time was a pass, haha. I didn't get why after they threw him off the roof, they didn't just drive away, don't know if it was because they didn't want to be followed or that Daryl was just pissed at the guy and wanted to take him down :lol

But I enjoyed the humor despite the illogical.

We all do illogical things and let our emotions get away from us. Daryl just didn't like having this guy get one up on him.

Ninja Jesus! :lol

:exactly::lol When Daryl realized he was on the roof, I started laughing :lol They just can't shake the guy! Him flying off the roof was hilarious, the timing was just right where there was a short pause before he tumbles over. For some reason, I kept seeing Jared Leto in my mind when he had long hair.

Lots of big-talking know-it-alls and internet badasses in gun groups. Nature of the beast, I suppose.

Not once, not even for a moment since the introduction on Michone did I ever think Rick and her would hook up. The show never even gave a whisper it would do this. So I was very surprised last night when it hit us all at once. To be honest my first impression was “ No…no…no...don't go there please!!!”

Not sure how I feel. I have always liked the relationship of I'll be there for you (I have your back) but I have no intention of ****ing you!!
