Before the show aired I thought Glenn would be the victim because he has had so many close calls this season and his death is the most expected because of the comic. Now that they have made it a cliff hanger, I think it will be Abraham. He has had a lot of air time recently and it seems like his story arc has come full circle. I think the cliff hanger makes it easier for TWD to justify keeping Glenn around to the audience after teasing it for most of the season.

Abe, Daryl and Glenn are the big three.

Apparently, Kirkman has said he regretted killing off Abraham, the only real soldier, before the Negan war in the comics. Since he was due for the arrow that got Dr. Whatshername, I think he may not be the guy.

I'm guessing Glenn. They look like they're setting up Daryl and Dwight for a showdown.

So instead of having everyone chatting around the water cooler over who got killed tomorrow they decided it'd be better if people just gathered to discuss how stupid and lame and annoying that was? Okay...

It can't be Glenn, Maggie, Rick, Carl or Sasha. Each one of them would have had someone significant going ape**** and attacking Negan after the first swing.

I kind of wonder if it's Daryl. There are so many fortified towns and things now I wonder if they figure he doesn't have a place in this new "civilized" world and want to try and milk the first few episodes of next season with this big flashback laden send-off.

It will be the gay photographer dude. He's the only red shirt in the lineup of otherwise untouchable players. They gave him a short scene early in the episode where he stood up to Rick, to make him stand out.

No guts, absolutely no glory.

Nah. They won't use a redshirt for a cliffhanger payoff, and a huge comic scene. The Atlanta 5 are more likely. Rick and Carl are untouchable. Carol's elsewhere. So, Daryl or Glenn. If not them, Abe.

Michonne would be interesting, but, sexism notwithstanding, I don't see them beating a woman to death with a baseball bat for dramatic effect. Even on cable.

Andrew Lincolns acting was dissapointing in the last 10 min. He's all tough and bad azz when he's got the drop on the Saviors but starts acting like a baby when Negan is talking to him. I would've thought Abraham was the leader of the group if I didn't know anything about them. So disgraceful.
Not even smart enough to tell Carl to stay home and watch Judith. And how do the Saviors know that they need to get to Hilltop?
Such contrived B.S.

Rick always goes full p***y at the worst times. It's annoying. And what's with them picking a completely random direction to sprint to in the middle of the entire forest and that just HAPPENS to be wear Negan's entire army is waiting?

If that was to me, it's literally impossible for me to spoil anything. I don't read ahead in the comics, and I'm wild-ass guessing on the next episode. I don't know enough to spoil.

(Spoiler tags don't work on my phone browser, so I don't know what's behind that button).

If your Negan why wouldn't you kill Rick, the leader of a group that killed so many of your people especially if you want the rest to work for you?
Its probably a male victim due to Negans "Champ" comment.

The killing is to get the leader to submit ... not to leave the group leaderless and potentially unable to provide anything.

I haven't read the comics and know basically nothing about the iconic scene in the comics, the one that finished off Season 6... However, I too am disappointed that they chose to do it this way, I was genuinely terrified and sweating watching the final 20 minutes, but then felt no real impact in the last 30 seconds... Strange decision to go with what they did...

Can't believe they went with that ending. Complete ********. Yet I'll still be watching the premiere of series 7

Isnt the whole 'who could it be?' thing going to be blown out of the water as soon as they start doing location filming for next season? Just look out for who's missing.

I'm not mad and can't really understand the hate on the finale. It's clear that the writers don't even know who they are going to kill off at this point. Good on them for it. The next season will be the start of a new story arc which is exactly how seasons should end and begin. It's just going to happen to begin with someone dying.

I think everyone's frustration is stemming from the feeling of something being "held back" from them, or that they are missing a piece of information, when I'm looking at it quite the opposite. The show was written and filmed that way to tell that story, and that's exactly what it did. I don't NEED to know who died any more than I just want to keep watching this show for the same reason I always do: I want to see what happens next.

This is all just my opinion but the problem I have with it is that it should be some massive emotional moment for viewers, but by the time season 7 rolls around, al those feelings will be waaaaay gone by then, plus we will probably already know before the season premiere who got killed. So where's the fun in it anymore? It should have been one big impactful moment. We should've seen who it was, the reactions and a few seconds of aftermath, all that's gone now. When season 7 starts the moment will have kinda passed. We should've seen who it was, no doubt about that for me. Just my opinion.

Unless they open season 7 with a really cleverly done episode, it's just going to feel a little obscure.
