- Negan continues to trot and prance around, with bat over shoulder, repeating witty remarks followed by series of smiles and "Ooooooo's," He becomes sassier than scary - ultimately dons the name "Megan" from critics among the Saviors.
Every time he just wanders around looking so cocky, I half wait someone just be brave enough to surprise him with a shoot. Just to froze that smirk. ;) And I would be very curious to know if Negan´s men would be just grateful and happy after he is gone, or would they start a fight? Why would they... Being better without him. The man on the road that said Dwight that they just should overrun Negan as they are many and there is only one of him, he was a wise guy. Too bad they are too scared to act against him.

I know Rick needed to get food for people and all, but that killing thing was just so brutal. There must have been some other way if they´d just thought about it. And some of the Gregory´s men (even Jesus) should have known it´s not all Negan´s people there. It´s like they let Rick´s group get in danger on purpose... (Probably not though, but felt that way.)

And also I wonder, being so hungry for long time, why they don´t just catch rabbits (instead of shooting them and eating them one by one) and let them breed so after a while they´d have lots of yummy meat to eat. In the time they were in prison, or even in Alexandria, there might have been plenty of time, I think.

Funny pics, by the way. :D

- Enid runs away again; Carl pursues her
- Long 30-minute dialogue between Morgan and Carol about the morality of killing
- Negan continues to trot and prance around, with bat over shoulder, repeating witty remarks followed by series of smiles and "Ooooooo's," He becomes sassier than scary - ultimately dons the name "Megan" from critics among the Saviors.
- Another zombie wall breach - Community celebrates Rick's momentous 1,000 Kill/Death Ratio.
- Female group prepares for upcoming community menstrual cycle as each wave has increased in intensity due to established synchronization of menses.
- Heath emerges from the woods as leader of another group - the Black Lives Still Matter group coupled with the few Dakota Pipeline protesters still protesting the pipeline's completion from several years ago.
- Ending Cliffhanger: Flashback to Negan's killing scene with increased focus on Glenn and his surroundings. Scene begins with an up close-shot of Glenn's face that gradually blurs as a large metal object in the background comes into focus - a dumpster is revealed. Unbeknownst to Negan, Michonne was able to hide Glenn's body under the dumpster and place a Walker face down beside her to receive the final blows. Glenn is still alive, albeit with eyeball drooping and skull crushed from the initial blow. Unfortunately, he is a vegetable and cannot communicate with the rest of group.
Lol that's great

It does need an endgame. After Neegan I'm done until something different comes along.

the thing is in the comics there is yet ANOTHER 'baddie adversary group' called the Whisperers. I don't care if they kill Negan and shove lucille up his ass, this constant rehashing of meeting a new and ominous 'evil' group who are pitted against Rick and Co. it's just getting super old. I'm glad I do not read the comics because it's probably even worse with this 'neverending story' crap the show has embarked on.

Thats the trick with TV shows that have season arcs. There always has to be something bigger around the bend.

TV shows used to be episodic. Stories contained to one episode (sometimes two at the most) story arcs. Doctor Who suffers from the same thing as TWD. TV shows with grand story arcs tend to paint themselves into a corner. Ever since LOST, that is how these shows have been run.

They should go back to the older way of TV story telling. Lose the grand season arcs.

it worked with Babylon 5.....Conversely it didn't with DS9 and Voyager. I started to lose interest in DS9 when they whole Dominon thing was picking up, it was kinda lame if you asked me. Proof in the writers behind the series, as after pretty much midway through Season 2 of Babylon 5, once the grand scale scope arc was presented, every episode moved towards it. There were MAYBE 1-2 filler episodes per season but that show is IMHO the best sci-fi ever aired and certainly one of the best 'tv series' aired in terms of keeping the audience interested and the show fresh.

People get bored easy these days. You'll rarely see long running tv shows in the future. I suspect that NCIS may be the last of those. Let's face it, most dramas are just the same thing over and over. Conflicts and resolution.......on to the next conflict.

I think some shows benefit from the season-long story arc (Fargo), but those stories are contained to one season. Shorter seasons also help.

that's all well and good, but when each seasonal story arc is the rehashing of the same thing, that's what makes people lose interest. Even Breaking Bad had 'seasonal' arcs if you will, all the while tying into a greater story arc, but point being is, it CAN work (seasonal story arc) as long as they are different per season. TWD has been un-original since S4....it's the same **** every season. The comic writers had (key word HAD) a good idea at first, and ultimately, a 3-4 year run at best with this material. it's gone on way too long and they are still churning them out (comics).

I should clarify that my post was not defending TWD. I'm getting bored with it, too. :lol

No way, for me DS9 only got good when it got into the long story arcs. Voyager quickly got stale though. It had only 2 tricks up its sleeve which it returned to again and again - Borg and Time Travel.

As far as Walking Dead, I'm not giving up on it yet. We all wanted the Negan arc and, what, now that it's here we're bored? Did we really expect it to be wrapped up faster than the Governor story? Of course they're going to drag it out for at least a full season. I think there's enough left in the show to at least cover this whole thing. I agree with the general point that there has to be some sort of end though. Obviously the show can't go on forever nor should it. I don't know how this Whisperer story is playing out in the comics but if it's looking repetitious of everything we've seen before then maybe they shouldn't bother with it in the show. And if there's nothing else they can think of then just end it.

Jeri Ryan saved that show.... :D

Yes the introdction of Negan was decent and fits a seasonal villain arc, but they're not really doing much with it, they are moving that arc along at a snails pace.

I like how GOT has surpassed the books now, this frees the show writers to 'speed things up' since they are not actively needing to refer to printed source material. If TWD could ditch the comics for story arc material I think the series would move a hell of a lot faster

Ds9 shined during the dominion war. The last season views like one long ep. I thought it was outstanding.

They should end the show with season 8. Run the Negan story until mid season 8 and use the Whisperers as a sub plot mid season 8 running towards the end. Wrap it up with Rick as a lone wolf walking down the road into sunset with walkers appearing from the trees and then cut to black. ;)

Or he wakes up in the hospital bed and realizes the whole thing was a dream. :lol

With Dr. Negan standing over him just smiling.

Or Rick waking up in the Hospital with Lori, Carl and Shane (all shot during the first season like they were actually planning ahead and had an ending in mind). Suddenly there's a commotion in the hallway as someone is brutally being mauled by what they think is just a crazed patient - Fade to black.
