Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

oh noes, not a barn of zombies!!

Burn it or run the rv through it.

No problem.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Not your barn, it's Herchel's. Clearly he thinks they can be 'saved'. Which is where the big split is going to come - Rick's group knows that's completely nuts.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

It's Hershey's problem. Rick and co should let 'em be then. But we all know that isn't going to happen.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I knew Herschel was somewhat naive when he compared this to AIDS. Rick was like "Dude, you don't get it..."

Ok, let's assume the walkers in the barn get out. More of Herschel's crew have to buy the farm. I'm guessing Maggie lives but that teenage boy will be a zombie hot lunch.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Nam & Nash. Stop or take your argument to PM's.

It's not needed or wanted in here.

I'd sacrifice an infraction for the better of the board. It would only be my 2nd and for Nam it would probably be bye bye for good.

Can you let us continue that route please?:yess:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Yep, Herschel's problem. And Rick and his group is going to want to be gone asap, that's for sure. I'm hoping Maggie goes with them as well, but yea, the teenage boy has red shirt all over him.

Next week the rotting zombie flesh is going to hit the fan, that's for sure. I don't see Glenn keeping this tidbit from his group - as much as he wants Maggie, he isn't the type to risk the others lives. Besides, I want them to hurry up and get to the 'butting of the heads'.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I wonder if Herchel dies. If that farm goes under, so does he and his crew. And having a barn full of walkers is a recipe for disaster.

Also this season has been relatively calm in the war against zombies. No heart pounding stuff like when Rick ran into them in Atlanta or when they stormed the camp. We are due for a nice battle.

I would also like the Sophie angle to wrap. It's been explored long enough and there needs to be a resolution.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

And no, I don't think Glenn keeps this under his hat. Risk is way too big for everyone, including Herschel's own people.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

The Sophie storyline has been key though, and I think that as it's played out, it's made complete sense. They used it to develop Darryl's character, turning him into one of the best on the show, and it has also given them the chance to show the difference between Darryl, the redneck badass who is still human, and Shane, who lost his humanity and thinks it's necessary to survive. Sophie being lost has allowed them to create a terrific character in Darryl, who went from kind of cool to best on the show because of it. I don't want them to find Sophie yet - I need to see the argument between Darryl and Shane as to whether they leave without finding her or not first. Then they can find her alive, proving Darryl right.

Unless she's already in the barn, of course.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Great point. The Sophie story allows the rise of one character and the fall of another. Each character gaining or loosing his humanity on the same set of circumstances.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I like the whole Daryl story arc as well. My wife couldn't stand him at first and now he's like her favorite character. He's definitely got some of the best one-liners to date. I thought it was pretty funny when Merle was ripping Him about seeing a Chupacabra and the way Daryl matter of factly delivered his response while seriously injured: "I know what I saw dammit".

I thought another good part was the expression on Lori's face when Rick walks up and tells her that he just had a long talk with Shane. :lol

Can't wait 'till next Sunday when all Hell breaks loose. :impatient:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I think there are 2 eps left so this Sun will be a setup for the real hell raising for next Sun.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how Rick's group reacts when they found out about the barn full of zombies. Based on how they handled Jim becoming a zombie last season and allowing him to be left alone to become an undead, I am thinking they might "allow" it, but they will want to leave the farm knowing it is a powder keg ready to blow at any moment. I can't see then wanting to go into the barn, guns blazing and clearing them all out against Herschel's wishes. Well, maybe Shane and Daryl might. With the news the Rick and the gang are leaving, I think people in Herschel's group will want to go with them (Maggie and the teenage boy have already shown flashes of defiance with Herschel). One of these conflicts (Shane/Rick, Herschel/Maggie/teenage boy) is going to be the catalyst to the zombies getting out of the barn and all hell breaking loose.

Anyone else notice how we have never seen a kid zombie with the exception of the opening scene of the pilot episode?:lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

It's also interesting to see if they go with the outcome being Herschel's fault or Rick's group's fault. Obviously, keeping the zombies around is nuts, and they could have something minor - even something done by one of Herschel's folks - end up being how the walkers get out, and Herschel could be devasted by the fact that it was his fault someone(s) from his group dies.

Or, they could make it someone in Rick's group that does something that leads to their escape (Shane, perhaps?), forcing the standoff between Herschel and Rick, and making anyone going with Rick (Maggie, hopefully) a bigger break.

Probably not surprising though considering the much shorter schedule kids are allowed to work. Getting them into and out of the make up, along with the shoot would be pretty tough, and probably not make much sense for the extras. It makes sense they'd only do it judiciously.

Yeah, not surprising due to child labor laws. Just something I found funny.:)
