Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

What are you talking about, Nam? When has somebody been shot in the head that wasn't bit? There's no indication...

(sort of comic spoiler)

that any of them suspects they have the virus. In fact, the show has gone out of it's way to ensure the only people we see as walkers are those bit by walkers - even the guy hanging in the tree had a note that said 'got bit'. Rick almost told the guy from the beginning on the radio in one of his 'wish I could talk to you' speeches about what the guy at the CDC said, and then stopped short. Unlikely he'd be telling him about Lori being pregnant. I'm betting that's exactly what the CDC guy told him - that they'll all be walkers eventually whether they get bit or not.

I don't remember seeing a bite mark on the tank soldier, just a gauge on the cheek and piece of the ear missing from a stray bullet.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Not sure that anyone was checking his body - or any other walkers - for bite marks. And that's a bit more than a 'scratch', not to mention that the hatch to the tank was open, a pretty good indication a walker killed him :D

When has anyone died of non walker causes so far on the show?

Not yet. But I'd imagine they're saving that for...
The Governor who they should be meeting before they get to the prison. I'd expect they're just about done with Hershalls within the next 2 episodes, so we'll likely see The Governor for sweeps in the new year.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Just watched last nights episode this morning on DVR with my twin brother.
I just have to say after what Daryl did he's the MAN!
I wouldn't be able to do what he did healthy, never mind the state he was in.

I'd agree that they'll be done with Herschel's completely over the next two episodes. With the next episode being a big one before the break, it makes sense that all hell will break loose at Herschel's. He only has five folks there, last time I counted - himself, Otis' wife, the young girl and the teenage boy. I thought there was an older guy, but I didn't see him this week at the dinner. I think that whatever happens at Herschel's, it's going to result in a couple deaths for drama, and it seems like the boy is definitely a red shirt, maybe Otis' wife. That will set up their parting from the farm in the first episode back, and I think Maggie will go with them. At least I hope so - I'm enjoying her character.

Not sure why....(comic spoiler)

you think they'll meet up with the Govenor this soon though - they have lots to do at the prison, and it doesn't seem to make sense to jump the Govenor storyline in front of it's place in the comics.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Just an observation, since it was discussed a few pages back.

If it was solely zombie blood that causes "zombification", then Darryl would have been infected. We've never seen him clean the arrows and he was impaled by his own arrow during the fall. Either the bacteria dies within a set time when exposed to the air or it must be an transmitted via zombie saliva during a bite. :lol

Tough SOB, he pulled the arrow out the wrong way!

Forgive me, it's been a while since I read the comics, but I could'a sworn they ran into the Governor at the housing developments before arriving at the prison. Isn't that how he lost his arm?

No, it is the other way around. Housing complex first, then the prison. The Governor's arm was um, ahem "taken away" by Michonne.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Comic book spoiler...

They were at the subdivision before they ever went to Herschel's, as I recall. Then Herschell's, then the prison, then the govenor. And I can't wait til we get Michonne!

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Awesome episode last night and great set up for next week.

Comic Spoiler:
I wonder just how closely the show will follow the comic in regards to The Governor, prison, Michonne (and her revenge). Not to mention Rick losing his right hand. If they go that route it's gonna be a lot of CGI to have a main character not have a hand for the rest of his run on the show considering that AMC wants to tighten the budget as it is). Although I guess they'll save a bunch of money when most of the cast get wiped out when the Gov. attacks the prison.

This is how I remember it but from what I read:

I think we might see Michonne before we did in the comic. Which is awesome!

Didn't they meet The Governor at the housing complex?
