Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Proof's in the pudding where Rick "Shaned" up at the end to handle business.

You can look at it like that, or you you can look at it as Rick not having to become what Shane has become to achieve the same result.

Shane really was built for that world.

He has more in common with the walkers than any of them. I thought it was ironic as hell that he called Dale 'dead already'.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I didn't read the comics but have seen some spoilers (yes I couldn't resist clicking on some of the spoilers, so shame I blame myself)...
I know Shane dies in the comic after he blows up and gets killed by Carl. But in the movie, he seems way to important to just die off like that. Maybe I don't know the scale and magnitude of the comic, hence me thinking that Shane is more important than he is intended to be in the comics

Hershel's an ass.

Why wouldn't he be like "Umm, we just found a little girl a few weeks ago, maybe that's who you're looking for??"

On Talking Dead it was mentioned that Otis was the person collecting the walkers. He was killed before the rest of the group discussed Sophia. The rest of Hershel's crew didn't know she was in there.

That kind of info needs to be on the show though instead of the talk show after the show that not everyone that watches the show watches. :cuckoo:

I am gonna look at it like that. Kirkman confirmed it saying that we'll see Rick toughen up a bit more before season's end. Also, he confirmed, if anybody caught it during Talking Dead...

That the baby is Shane's, which should come as no surprise to those who've read the comics.

:lecture:lecture:lecture :exactly: Hershall's in the clear as far as Sophia's concerned.

Well, watch the damn show. Regardless of how annoying you feel Hardwick is, it's well worth it for the insight it gives. :dunno

And FYI: That's not a spoiler. That's exactly what Hershall tells Rick when they're rounding up the two neighbor zombies in the swamp.

It will be brought up next episode.

Hints, yes. But I'm specifically talking about Herschel saying he didn't know and why.

There were no hints. He tells Rick when they're pulling his neighbors out of the swamp that Otis was the one who always rounded up all the zombies. It doesn't get much more matter-o-fact than that.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

With how Hershell has acted in regards to 'his people', the fact that he would just shrug his shoulders and say "The walkers were Otis' responsibility, it's not my problem" is complete bull puckey.

The fact that he didn't know reflects extremely poorly on his character. Not that he was totally all there in the first place, BUT. . . it just reinforces the fact that he's friggin' dumb.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Its funny on how The Talking Dead Sophia said to her real mother on set "I hope they don't turn me into a walker" and look what happens :lol Her death was a crucial part in the story though I believe.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Well apparently some people couldn't put 2 and 2 together (or just forgot about it).

Anyways, next episode will have them questioning Hershel about it and he'll actually say he didn't know and repeat what he said about Otis.

So both episodes have the answer.

Yeah, she jinxed herself. Though, if there was a way to go out, it doesn't get much bigger than that. :lol

I don't know if it was so much "dumb" as it was denial. I think deep down he knew they were dead, he probably just figured that if he didn't have to face them, he wouldn't be forced to realize it. He didn't have any contact with them. Otis was catching them and putting them in the barn, and his ol' lady was feeding them.

Oh yes when she steps out everyone on the farms likes Oh ____ :lol but that's why I like Rick so much he has the guts to take her out, he just dosent show it so loudly and brutally as Shane does.

I dunno, I think he was cohered by Shane. I almost wonder if he would've sided with Hershall there, if the majority of his crew weren't up with Shane blasting away the other zombies.

Spartacus
Walking Dead Season 2 part 2
Game of Thrones Season 2

cant wait for next year! :rock

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

In the end though, it just kinda reveals the writers wrote themselves into a corner. . .

"How do we get Sophia in the barn without anyone asking how??"

"Well, let's just say Otis did it, and he's dead, so nobody can question it."

:slap

I trust that when the show comes back Rick will ask these same questions, and realize Hershell is a looney tune and says "Y'know what? You're right, we can't live here, you're crazy"

You could be right there, and yeah those walkers didn't stand a chance with the firing squad full of a built to hell brute, a blond _____, Glen, a black man and badass Daryl :lol One after another and damn Hershels wife got her cheek blown off :horror
