Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Season 3, will that be set entirely in the prison like season 2 on the farm?

I'd imagine they'll have two main sets...
The prison and the Governor's compound.

Can't wait until the _____ing about low budget location restraints starts! :yess:

Cheers, thanks.

Is our group at the prison by choice or are they being held 'prisoner' by the other group so to say?

They encounter the prison while on walkabout.

But with Kirkman making it a point to differ the books from the show, who the hell knows? :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

speaking of carl, man that kid reeeaally annoyed the crap outta me this episode! it was because of him that dale got killed. and that scene where he stood within grabbing distance of the walker to use a gun just shows how dumb he is. look, i know he's a kid, but for goodness' sake, that was totally devoid of common sense regardless of age or experience. besides, he's been around enough walkers to know better than to get so bloody close. idiot.

other than that, i loved the episode. definitely one of the strongest ones yet. the whole moral debate between dale and the rest of the group was riveting drama. and for the record, i am totally on dale's side. that's just in line with my own value system. you don't just murder someone based on the POSSIBILITY of him doing something wrong. that whole debate, and how they made it (almost) credible for the group to think murder was the right decision, is what makes this show so good to watch.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I'd be real surprised...

if they get to anything to do with the Govenor before the last episode or two next year. There's plenty to do at the prison, but I think people that have read the comic want them to hurry up to major points, forgetting that they still have to cover the key minor ones (new characters, further small conflicts that create character development, etc) for those that haven't read the books.

They might get it started if they have another holiday break - they could use the initial meeting with the G as the mid-season cliffhanger, and finish off with them realizing too late just how crazy he is as the season ending cliff hanger. But there's still a lot to do at the prison, and I'm hoping they don't rush that, especially with the introduction of some new characters.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

God damn where is Tyreese. Love his character in the book. He should have been set up in the show early to builld the bromance with he and Rick.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Yea, Tyreese is a great character and has some critical role to play, depending on how they go, but remember...

he didn't show up in the comics til after the farm, so there's still the chance he will. His character and what happens with him is one of the things I wouldn't want them to rush at the prison.

In regards to Tyreese:
It's been a while since I read the books, but I seem to remember him being at Hershel's farm. That is where he started spending time with Carol and then by the time he got to the prison his attention was turning to Michonne.

I thought T-Dog was Tyreese. At least that is what I gathered from reading this thread.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I'm finally caught up. The only thing I have to add is that it was F'N hilarious that T-Dog got half a line in and Dale told him to STFU.

Anybody remember the Clerks animated series? T-Dog is totally Lando:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I could certainly see them using T-Dog as Tyrese...except, beyond being black, there's little they have in common. I've considered the possibility as well, but if they do go that route, it would be pretty much the same thing as leaving Tyrese out.

did they meet him before the farm? I thought it was on the road to the prison (and then Michonne shows up on her own at the prison), but I could be misremembering

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I'm just guessing since we never found out what the "T" in T-Dog stands for. :lol

Though making him Tyrese would fit right in with Kirkman wanting the show and comic to be two different animals.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I thought it stood for "Theodore."

You sir, win a Brownie point, "Theodore Douglas" (have they said that in the show yet?). Maybe Tyrese is his middle name? While it'd be cool to have more color in the cast instead of just good ol' boys, their women and a token Asian, it'd kinda be a shame since they're essentially wasting T-Dog. Hell, most of us had forgotten about him until he popped up in the background during the debate. :lol

I though the group met Tyreese after the farm. :huh

My memory isn't what it used to be. :(
