Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Wow, touchy much?

I was just asking what you would have liked to see. You ______ and complain about something but don't offer another alternative. I thought you had something else in mind. Silly me.

It's pointless to offer an alternative. There will never BE an alternative. It will always be there, and no amount of any "better" ideas will stop it.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Then why let Rick say his piece and talk things out? Why let him get close enough. Why even let him say a word?

My take on it is because he wanted Rick to draw his gun on him so that he could rationalize shooting Rick in his mind easier. They were best friends and Shane did love Rick like a brother at one point, so that stuff just doesn't go away. Shane was wrestling with his demons throughout the whole series and especially this episode - like when he went in to see Randall and started hitting himself in the head.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Daryl has just been promoted to "Rick's right hand man". :yess:

Right now, those two make the whole show for me. They could kill off everyone else and have Rick and Daryl hook up with another group and I'd still watch.

I think that Daryl will be good in that roll! :yess:

I'll be curious to see how they handle this going forward. I mean will they when the show ends somehow coming up with a cure of somekind or everyone turns into a zombie.

It'll be interesting how the writers handle this.

But again, the only rational he needed was to protect Lori and Carl, which is all he's ever needed. So I'm not buying that. I think he knew his time was up and that if sacrifice wasn't on his mind, the only other thing would be to be taken out by Rick as a "passing of the guard" type thing.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Of course he did. But you don't need him to give an alternative to justify his opinion.

I loved it. But I never read the comic.

He probably wanted you know who to do you know what, before that thing happened.

Wow, I didn't even think to look at it that way. I suppose it's possible, but I'm not buying it. You had it really bad for Shane huh? I'm sorry for your loss. :(:1-1:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

That's all fine and dandy, but my complaint wasn't about the acting. :lol

Yup! New rule for the zombie apocalypse. When people who've ____ed with you emotionally try to apologize, GTF OUTA DODGE!!!!

This is where your theory falls flat. At any point, Shane could've put Rick down, at any point while they were walking around for what seemed like hours. He didn't. Not because he couldn't, but because he never intended to. :wink1:
So your contention is that Shane wasn't going to kill Rick?Really? Rick even knew it when they entered the clearing and said something like, so this is where you're going to do it? Everything Shane did including helping Randal only to kill him was Shanes plan to get Rick alone so he could kill him. He was still hoping to get together with Lori and knew it would never happen with Rick alive.

You're right. I don't need an alternative. And I wasn't asking him to justify his opinion. I was legitimately just asking a question. :dunno

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I know. I get you. But I just don't think it's important to the discussion. It gives off bad vibes.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

BTW, we know that Randall broke his neck, but do we know how Shane set that up? Shane took the blindfold and gag off him and it looked like he was letting him go and then you hear Randall yelp off screen. Any ideas?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

There was nothing in the show more premeditated than what Shane did to get Rick alone to kill him.

Don't buy any of it. He thought he was better for Lori and Carl than Rick. He was going to kill Rick

You guys are absolutely correct. Shane was planning to kill Rick from the moment he took Randall from the farm. He saw an opportunity and decided to run with it.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

For the impending Walker invasion, it sure would be nice to have Shane around to help gun. LOL.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

BTW, do we really need the Spoiler tags? I though Dave said once an episode airs, it's fair game.

Probably the way they always break necks. One hand behind head other on chin and a quick twist.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Tonight's episode was epic! The finale's gonna be crazy and I can't wait! :panic:
